:o FANTASTIC to see an INSTRUMENTAL version of Kelly's song enter :o :dancing:

YAY for Enrique and Ciara, Kelly Clarkson cover and PCD! :D

PCD should be Top 10 very soon I think/hope ... 'Use Somebody' is so boring and old now.

^^ That's bound to rise after the Brits though! :(

:o @ How BADLY U2 are doing at the moment. :(

Well I was relatively confident (at least until Taylor Swift did not release Love Story digitally as expected on iTunes, 7Digital) that U2 would not make #1 on Sunday despite the fact they are on the BRITs on ITV Wednesday and they will probably sell over 10K physicals this week, but even I did not think they would be doing nowhere near as badly as this on iTunes after being available to download for over 36 Hrs.

I expected them to be around the iTunes #10 mark by now......

At this rate they might not even reach the Top 5 on Sunday's chart.....

I hope Gary Go is inside the top 20 come the next update. The song and the video are excellent.

They're doing better than Take That though! And with a song that isn't as good as! :( (I hate this pathetic frown face emoticon!)

Did people expect a lot more because of the length of time between their last song and this. Otherwise I don't understand what the big brouhaha is about the single's position at the moment - it seems pretty steady.

So on Amazon where Taylor Swift was released on Sunday she is comfortably beating U2.

And Rudenko is Top-40. I wonder how high he is able to climb...

I like this Gary Go song, certain Top-10 material.

Here is why:

Lead Singles from U2 albums of the last 25 years:

Year / Lead Single / (Album) / UK Chart Peak

1984 Pride (In The Name Of Love) (The Unforgettable Fire) #3

1987 With Or Without You (The Joshua Tree) #4

1988 Desire (Rattle and Hum) #1

1991 The Fly (Achtung Baby) #1

1993 No release before album (Zooropa) NR

1997 Discotheque (Pop) #1

2000 Beautiful Day (All That You Can't Leave Behind) #1

2004 Vertigo (How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb) #1

:(

TBH unless they get a significant downloads boost from the BRITs performance I can't see them making the top10 now. It's only a matter of time before Rudenko and Empire Of The Sun overtake them on iTunes and are looking far more likely top10 contenders. I fear you’ll need to sell 25k or more this week to make the top10.

Don't worry after BRITs they might do a Broken Stings, climping higher in the charts, maybe at No.1.

Amazon MP3 don't report their sales...

Good to see Enrique already :kink:

I would have thought Taylor would be No1 on that by now considering it's not available on iTunes/7Digital... Pretty amazing how much this differs from the iTunes chart!

Prodigy #5 iTunes #36 Amazon :o

Yes, but as Jark has pointed out, Amazon sales do not (yet) count towards the charts, so fans of the artist would know it is a wasted purchase. That is probably why acts with a more fanatical following (Prodigy, U2) have not bought it from there in proportion to other sites that do count.

I don’t see that being a factor for the vast majority of the downloading population though. ;)

Besides if people were prepared to buy a fake cover version of Love Story on iTunes I can’t see them waiting if they can download their favourite song elsewhere.

Is it well known that Amazon's MP3 store doesn't count towards the chart?

Anyway, glad that U2 are destined to flop with their new single. It's even weaker than their usual dross. :puke2:
