February 16, 200916 yr Jade's the one courting all this media attention though. You can't really blame the media! If she said she was giving no more interviews and not appearing on any more TV shows and that no further bulletins had to be given about her health then there'd be nothing much to report would there? I don't blame her really for trying to make as much dosh as she can in her last months, for her sons. I'd do the same. If someone offered me £1m to show me dying live on TV I'd grab it with both hands.

Again.... And how do you think your family would feel about that....? Dont you actually believe that your final moments should be PRIVATE, and with loved ones ONLY.....?
February 16, 200916 yr I rest my case.... "Crazy Chris" lives up to his name... Again.... And how do you think your family would feel about that....? Dont you actually believe that your final moments should be PRIVATE, and with loved ones ONLY.....? Well under normal circumstances yes. If I was famous though but had frittered most of my money away and a million quid could set my daughter up for life then I'd bite their hands off.
February 16, 200916 yr why shouldnt she die in front of the camera? that IS how shes lived her life and i think it would be incredibly BRAVE for her to do that. imho its HER choice, and its YOURS as the whether or not you watch it! Oh yes, how "brave" of her.... To play out her death on camera in front of millions... As opposed to keeping it a private moment for loved ones only... It's not "brave", it's tacky, stupid, amoral and contemptable, and frankly quite apart from showing love for her children, it's the complete opposite if you ask me, money is a very poor substitute for love Rob, and this whole thing is about fukkin' money 100% now, "what profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?" one of the few bible quotes I think that has any kind of relevance, it's certainly relevant to this situation, "greed is good" now is it.....? This is the sort of cr@p i expect from Crazy Chris to be honest, not from someone like yourself..... How is it actually her choice alone, when there are very, very clear and obvious ethical implications.....? The Media affects society as a WHOLE, it's not just about ONE individual... Once you open that bottle and let the genie out mate, pretty fukkin' difficult to put it back in again..... You open the door to all sorts of other depraved sh!t..... You see, I just knew that this was going to be the logical conclusion to the whole "reality TV" experiment.... That something like this would eventually take place..... And the sheep out there just blindly accept it..... Sorry mate, I just do NOT agree with you one little bit, frankly I think you've utterly lost it if you think anything positive will come out of this.....
February 16, 200916 yr Well under normal circumstances yes. If I was famous though but had frittered most of my money away and a million quid could set my daughter up for life then I'd bite their hands off. So, basically, you're saying you wouldn't care how it would affect your daughter, or what her wishes might be....? You're only thinking of the money.... Kids dont care about the money mate, not in situations like this one, they want to be with mum or dad..... Trying to apply rationality to feelings and emotions that are pretty irrational is stupid and ultimately psychologically destructive to the very people you claim to love..... How many kids have grown up in wealthy families feeling totally unloved even though they had all the material cr@p....? Millions...... That's millions of damaged people mate who dont know what real love is, who only think in terms of the material.... I'll repeat, money is no substitute for love.....
February 16, 200916 yr Rob makes good points. No-one's tying her up and forcing her to do this, if in fact she does it. Also no-one's forcing anyone to watch it. Everyone has choice.

You're kidding right.... How could you possibly manage to escape this if it were to take place....? EVERY newspaper, EVERY TV station, EVERY internet chatroom, and just about EVERY conversation would be about "jade dying live on TV", you couldn't escape the fukkin' Princess Di funeral, you wont be able to escape this either.... Well, unless you go and live in a sodding log cabin in the woods with no means of communication for about 3 months that is...... and, nah, no one's forcing her as such, just totally manipulating and coercing her.... These c/unts in the media are just LOVING this, they've got another martyr, another "Princess Di" and they're gonna milk it for all it's worth...... <_<
February 16, 200916 yr Thankfully I don't have to hear all about this in the US lulz. You should be glad you're there and not here just now.... Very glad Mind you, I just bet you lot are probably praying for life-long good health no nasty terminal illnesses for Paris Hilton.....

You haven't grasped it have you To say she is thick as pig$h!t is the understatement of the century not to mention thick as pig$h!t and totally off her head on high powered cancer drugs, she is being MANIPULATED by Endemol / Living TV, she is just a tool to them to make money, the same media that threw her to the dogs over CBB are using her as a cash cow now with soppy pics of her on the front page every day, so the one to really blame over all this is Endemol/Living TV, the tabloids and so on, she is just a thicko that is being coerced into all this stuff on her deathbed tbh as she is too ill and thick to really rationally think through what she is doing I don't know why Endemol don't go the full hog and set up a reality tv show called Big Cancer which involves putting 12 terminally ill cancer patients in the Big Brother house including Jade Goody and the last one to die infront of the cameras their family gets £1m

Actually, wasn't there something a bit similar to this in some European country (something to do with "contestants" getting a life-saving operation or summat..?), but it turned out that it was a huge wind-up just to see what the reaction of the public would be, to see if public morals had totally decayed thanks to Reality TV and Celeb culture..... You see, in the UK, this would be an actual programme, not a wind up, because we're clearly so totally morally and ethically bankrupt now, that some people seem to think that people dying on TV is "cool" and that they'd do it themselves if someone offered them enough money..... And indeed, you are correct, I think people most certainly are taking advantage of the fact that Jade is totally drugged up and unable to think clearly (mind you, not that she ever did think all that clearly when she wasn't on strong pain meds).....

Yeah I was being sarcastic/cynical and stuff but tbh with the f***ed up minds of media execs and the mentality of many members of the British public I have probably just predicted the future :o :(
February 16, 200916 yr True but this is the biggest media circus since the death of Princess Diana and it is starting to get annoying Really? I've obviously been living in a cloud then . I watched BBC News today and this wasn't on the headlines, nor was the Chris Brown/Rihanna thing  Edited February 19, 200916 yr by Harve

Elton John Offering to host Jades wedding 4 hours 35 mins ago Press Assoc. Jade Goody was today planning a "fairytale" wedding to her fiance Jack Tweed - with a little help from her showbiz friends. The 27-year-old, who's been told her cancer has become terminal, briefly left London's Royal Marsden Hospital in a wheelchair to exchange engagement rings with Tweed, 21. The couple then visited Harrods where Jade picked a "beautiful" wedding dress, a gift from the store's owner Mohamed Al Fayed. Sir Elton John has offered one of his homes as the location for the ceremony and messages of help and support have been sent by Jonathan Ross, Simon Cowell and Dale Winton. Speaking on Sky News today (February 16), Jade's publicist Max Clifford said: "This has given her something to think about, a happy event. The wedding, the christening of her two boys, these are all positive things to focus on as opposed to the cancer and what is happening to her and what she's going through." He said: "After they exchanged rings they went to Harrods where she picked out the most beautiful, in her words, wedding dress. Mohamed said it was his gift for her wedding day." Mr Clifford said Jade also picked Armani suits for her sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four. Mr Clifford said Jade told him: "Max, I know I'm ignorant but I want my boys to have the best possible education money can buy and I am going to make sure that I do that for them so that when they grow up they know that mum did that." He said Jade wanted the boys christened because she hopes, "they will get to know Jesus and through Jesus they'll be able to talk to her in years to come".
February 16, 200916 yr Really? I've obviously been living in a crowd then . I watched BBC News today and this wasn't on the headlines, nor was the Chris Brown/Rihanna thing  I take it you did not look at this mornings front pages of the newspapers. Especially The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Star .......
February 16, 200916 yr Elton John is jumping on the Jade bandwagon now too ? :manson: Candle In The Wind 2009 as a tribute to Jade ? :o
February 16, 200916 yr This story is certainly interesting. I don't care for Jade Goody, but cancer is horrible. My gran died and while I was too young to realise what was going on, now I realise odd bits and pieces that happened in her life. You can't not feel sorry for her kids, they're way too young to understand what's going on around them and I expect when she dies it'll probably come as a little bit of a shock to them. Again I understand why she's doing this for her kids and stuff, but at the moment she's just a media slave. She's losing whatever dignity she had left. The Sun is the scum of the earth, and they will manipulate Goody to doing anything for them. I think I read that Heat magazine sells more copies if Jade Goody is one the front page, compared to Angelina Jolie. :| I'm sure all the papers say 'they care' but no way. Whatever they're giving Jade Goody for all the stuff she's doing for them, i'm very sure they're making a damn site more. But then you have to look at the whole issue in real terms as well. Jade Goody has obviously made a small fortune from her time out of Big Brother, and i'm sure that in enough be enough to keep her kids very happy and have a very good upbringing. Call me cynical, and I could be getting completely the wrong end of the stick, but her boyfriend will gain a lot from this. He's being portrayed very well in the media over the past few weeks (especially after being arrested, and the race row on Big Brother), and add that to the fact that when Jade Goody dies he'll be entitled to a lot of money too. But like I say, that might just me being suspicious.

The guy is just a leech and a parasite He DUMPED Jade a week or so back but soon as he heard the cancer was terminal Jade and Jack suddenly become all lovey dovey and he proposes to her  He is only in it for the money
February 16, 200916 yr This whole thing is so sad :( Regardless of what people think of her, no-one deserves to suffer from cancer or to die so young. Even if Tweed is just 'in it for the money', which I doubt he is (he had been with her for a couple of years beforehand, even if they had broken up), I think that the proposal was a lovely gesture from him.
