February 16, 200916 yr moneys running out?..... they were 'of the time', i cant see them being relevant now on anything other then the nostalgia circuit.
February 16, 200916 yr The Spands made some great songs in their day (which I'll post in September/October), but they were always the poor version of Duran Duran IMHO. So lets remember one of their least memorable tracks with an equally appalling video: kLZr6EdaYpc Spandau Ballet - Paint Me Down (1981 UK#30) Just be thankful the Saturdays have not covered this track!
February 17, 200916 yr Anything they released after 1981 was turgid tosh - especially the noxious 'True'... yeuch. But I really like the song (and video :naughty: ) to Paint Me Down. Tony Hadley's career as a Tory councillor obviously didn't take off - unlike his weight ;)
February 19, 200916 yr Author Oh god I really hate Spanda Ballet, please this cannot be true! I'm afraid ... I know this much is true! I've heard a rumour too that The Bay City Rollers are about to reform too! Norma
February 20, 200916 yr 'Chant No.1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)' - tune of the summer back in 1981!
