Not In The Final Once Again:

Within Temptation were denied a place in the final, after praise from quite a few people, leader of Spizil (Sprial) thought we would have had a better chance this time. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, this is the second time in a row that Spizil hasn't been in the final. It seems that a slow song doesn't win the publics vote, so Sprial is now coming up with new artists for next time, rumor is that if they are denied a place next time, Spizil will pull out all together. Lets certainly hope not, again Spiral wants to thank everyone who supported and voted and wishes the finalizers well! ^_^

Janet Leon Commiserates Spizil

 

After the their BJSC XV entry Within Tempation failed to qualify for the final, the Kingdom of Shadow sent their heart-felt best wishes to the people of Spizil in this hard time for the nation. The Great King also sent this message: "Spizil may have been knocked back at the first hurdle but they need not reflect on this unfortunate result. The Shadowan people offer their support to this refreshing nation and I am sure Spizil will reutrn in XVI with a song worthy of the the final spot they so deserve!". In a friendly gesture, the Kingdom of Shadow's Janet Leon performed a free concert in the nation, kicked off with 'Heartbreak On the Dancefloor' and concluded with 'Breakaway'.

The Corrs - Summer Sunshine

 

Info: The Corrs are the well known folk/acoustic/rock Irish singer/song writers, there known for hits 'What Can I Do', 'Breathless' and 'So Young'. But at the end of their pop career they started to get less notice and songs like the amazing 'Summer Sunshine' was never appreciated properly.

Summer Sunshine is :heart: :heart: 2004 was one of the best years for music. Shame it all went $h!te after that. <_< (And the song numbers at the bottom of the video really do bring me back!)

 

IMO, very good entry. It might be considered cheap by a few people, but it is 5 years old so it's not cheap in my book!

I'd look on last.fm to get a stonker!

Spizil has decided that The Corrs have more than enough to qualify to be in the BJSC Semi Final. Originally 2 more songs had also been considered, but from reactions 'Summer Sunshine' will be taking part: Tell us what you think of the song, is it good enough?

The Corrs have done Brazil proud by being the first band to get Spizil into the Semi Finals of any BJSC! It's great news for Spiral who was eating a packet of crisps at the time. Spiral & Spizil would like to thanks everyone that voted for us and are really pleased that we made it through with such a 'cheap' song - Thank You :heart: :heart: :heart:

We're Coming Back

 

They say that a new year brings new hope and expectations and in this case a country. Spizil haven't entered in a contest for sometime thanks a busy schedule and a lack of inspiration, previously Spizil got a place in the finals with irish pop/rock band The Corrs and did OK-ish in the results show. But in January 2010 Spiral and his little country shall hopefully be making a nice little comeback with something... No plans have been made on who shall represent next year but we only hope that it goes of with a bang.

 

We'd also like to say Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year.

Thank you Zechh, I don't plan on using Eminem/P!nk - but if worst to comes to worst I think they'll do OK :) A very unique collaboration must be worth something :lol:

 

And I entered a few Song Contests last year (around this time) - but I stopped 'cos I was running out of ideas for entries
