Trashes record is mine. oh and :kink: fingers crossed it leaks in time to be used. too late and i'm up a creek I didn't like it as much as back then as I do now, funnily enough, must have been my Swedish obsession kicking in :heehee: I'm sure you'll find a way of getting it first :P watch out for Torchwood though :kink:
March 3, 200916 yr That lot will be going near that band after last time. I'll just reserve them every month from July  i need to get back on that forum actually for news........
March 3, 200916 yr I sign this! The reason I joined BJSC was to try and introduce people to music they didn't know, and fantastic if they liked it, and also to discover music I didn't know. Unfortunately I couldn't take part in this contest which made me disappointed, looking at the songs in the final I'm not even that bothered any more. :| If it were to continue this way there would be zero point in me entering as it goes against all the reasons I joined anyway. I also take part in contests like this on two other forums (although far less frequent) so it wouldn't bother me that much to only have two, rather than three...
March 3, 200916 yr Also, I probably have the widest consideration of what's cheap, too. I probably think more stuff is cheap than anyone else. *Anyone with an artist forum or considerable following on BuzzJack. This includes b-sides, leaks or completely unknown songs. To me, it doesn't matter. They're a popular artist on here and have fans that'll vote for them almost regardless. There could be a couple of exceptions though (I'd hardly call Darius or Bon Jovi cheap...) *Any UK top 10 hit from the past 3 years or so. Successful single, still likely to be well known and fairly fresh in the memory of most people. *Anything that's a recent single which is receiving promotion and as a result hype on BuzzJack. I'd say 6 weeks either side of release. *Any artist who's won BJSC or had more than one decent finish before. To me, any song which fits any of those criteria already has a significant advantage over those that don't. Plenty of people know them already and they haven't got to go through the stages of growing on people and realising whether it's good or not. I know that it's highly unlikely anyone is going to send a song that no one knows, but I do think that one's where the vast majority don't know, and certainly 'Joe Public' would never have heard of, are much better. Looking at the songs in the final I personally consider about 13 of the songs as 'cheap'. It's probably more than most people would but it's way more that I usually would and way more than what I'd consider to be a contest worth competiting in.

Very fair stab at defining 'cheap' - I agree as well. This doesn't mean I will not vote for borderline cheap songs - I give all songs points on merit and will take some points off for a bit of uber cheapness!
