Soo...I was just on her Myspace and it says "Record Label Mine!". :o This must mean she either left or was dropped by Parlophone, who she had been with for about 10 years. On the plus side, Parlophone are one of the worst labels out there so it's good. On the negative side it looks like she's gone independent like McFly, Dizzee Rascal and Melanie C meaning she is unlikely to have a big album or single by the looks of it. But at least this means we should be gettting music from her for as long as she can be bothered/afford to release. Then again it still says her label is a "major" one, maybe it just needs updating. :unsure:

Oh this is interesting. It's partally good because Paralaphone are a p***-poor record label so it wouldnt suprise me if she walked, though them dropping her isnt out of it since Music City Soul is her worst selling album with them.

 

This does mean she gets to do the music she wants i guess, which was really what MCS was, so my dreams of a Come As You Are type lead single are now fading very quickly.

Yeah, it's hard to tell if she was pushed or if she jumped from the label. Everyone seems to be leaving Parlophone lately, I think Kylie and Coldplay have been/were unhappy there so maybe Bev was too?

 

I actually liked what she did on the last album but I think she might not be doing this sort of thing after all. It looks like she's using DJ Munro again (he wasn't on MCS) and she definitely has an uptempo song on the album:
