March 26, 200917 yr Author I have to say, I kinda get that feeling too. I know I say MCS is her best album, but when I think about it, "Affirmation" is PACKED with stunners, MCS just has a few that I REALLY love and a lot of strong tracks. I don't think she likes being commercial. Obviously "The B-Funk" was what she wanted to do, it was her debut, on a minor record label with no pressure to succeed. Then MCS seemed a bit of a "do what you want, but we're not gonna help much" album from the label. "Prodigal Sista" also seems very much like a Bev album while "Who I Am" and "Affirmation" could have been where Parlophone began to pressure her for success.
March 28, 200917 yr Hmm, yeah i've changed my mind about my fav Bev album aswell, it's now definatly Affirmation. Well as she's content with not having huge top 10 hits then that's fine i guess
