Posted March 24, 200916 yr 'Knock You Down' // Next US single from 'In A Perfect World...' // ft.Kanye & Ne-Yo // Vid: HQ6sp3X_LVk Love the whole thing. One of the freshest R&B tracks in an age with a properly lush video to match. Beyonce who?
March 24, 200916 yr This better be a summer hit over here! Hopefully they'll skip 'Turnin Me On' over here and go straight for 'Knock You Down'. The song with most hit potential on her great debut! I am really liking the single mix of the song too!
March 24, 200916 yr Author Yes the new adlibs are lovely. Ending is slightly 'woah, ok!' but I like it.
March 24, 200916 yr Prefer the album version but it's a great radio edit. And man, that video is hot. I wouldn't start saying "Beyonce who?" just yet, though. ;)
March 24, 200916 yr Author I was just kidding. Mostly. :kink: Airplay for today: AI: 5.588m (+0.721m) Spins: 437 (+36) Smash!
March 24, 200916 yr I really want to see the video! Not available in my country or domain. WTF? I could scream when they pull $h!t like that.
March 24, 200916 yr Video looks a bit cheap, and what happened to Keri she can look absolutely stunning but that just looks like a cross between rihanna and a man. Good song though glad to hear shes taking off finally.
March 24, 200916 yr Author She doesn't look manly?! I hate the short hair = manly assumption. Shame on you JOE. You HO.
March 24, 200916 yr She doesn't look manly?! I hate the short hair = manly assumption. Shame on you JOE. You HO. LOL its not that at all, Frankie from Saturdays has short hair and couldn't be fitter and is very feminine lol but Keri is just minigng right about now, Mikal seems to have the right idea! Alienated needs to be released next, she needs to prove she can succeed by herself instead of just employing other artists for airplay.
March 24, 200916 yr Author Tbhhh, I don't think she'll ever have a big solo hit. :/ Perhaps not from this record, where the solo songs whilst being great aren't the most commercial, but to say she won't ever is ridiculous.
March 24, 200916 yr Yeah, it's pretty wild to assume she won't have a solo hit. She had such a buzz back in 06-07. She was one of the faces of the Timbaland era. The buzz died when she released Energy, a generic pop song with R&B influences that could've been sung by any female solo artist. Look at Turnin' Me On. OK, so Weezy's appearance helped it's success, but Keri's attitude was so different to that of Energy. I think she's still trying to find herself as an artist, and I think she'll eventually stick to Urban because she seems to be more accepted. But who knows, it's her debut album. There's plenty of time to score some solo hits.
March 24, 200916 yr Perhaps not from this record, where the solo songs whilst being great aren't the most commercial, but to say she won't ever is ridiculous. Well not ever, who knows she might have a type of Rihanna/Beyonce style hit in time to come, but not with the material she's making at the moment. But I think it's down to her being heavily connected to Timbaland which is her downfall I think. Everyone know's her as the singer from the 'Way I Are' song, so she needs a song which is miles better than that. If you get me?
