Posted March 27, 200916 yr BJ Formula 1 2009 Fantasy Prediction Game Obviously, it is all a bit too late to start one before the opening Australian GP in less than 36 Hours time. But if there is enough of us (I'm thinking around the 8 to 10 mark) to make it interesting; then this is what I was going to suggest. For the Malaysian GP (onwards) you predict the following: The Top 8 in Order of Finish: The Driver on Pole after qualifying The Driver with the Fastest Lap during the race Example: Take the Australian GP: Your Prediction is Top 8 Finish: 1. Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP) 2. Jarno Trulli (Toyota) 3. Jenson Button (Brawn GP) 4. Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber) 5. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) 6. Fernando Alonso (Renault) 7. Nico Rosberg (Williams) 8. Giancarlo Fisichella (Force India) Pole: Nico Rosberg (Williams) F Lap: Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) However the actual race Results are: 1. Jenson Button (Brawn GP) 2. Fernando Alonso (Renault) 3. Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP) 4. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) 5. Jarno Trulli (Toyota) 6. Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber) 7. Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull-Renault) 8. Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber) Pole: Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP) 3rd Nico Rosberg (Williams) F Lap: Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) Then the scoring would look like this: For the actual Top 8 Prediction - you would score the same number of points as in the actual Grand Prix's (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) BUT you could only score the maximum of your prediction position made. Therefore based on the Prediction example: 1. Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP) Finished 3rd = 6 Pts 2. Jarno Trulli (Toyota) Finished 5th = 4 Pts 3. Jenson Button (Brawn GP) Finished 1st, but only eligible for up to 3rd place = 6 Pts 4. Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber) Finished 8th = 1 Pt 5. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) Finished 4th, but only eligible for up to 5th place = 4 Pts 6. Fernando Alonso (Renault) Finished 2nd, but only eligible for up to 6th place = 3 Pts 7. Nico Rosberg (Williams) Not in Top 8 = 0 Pts 8. Giancarlo Fisichella (Force India) Not in Top 8 = 0 Pts So Total = 24 Pts + Pole Qualifying, the Driver (Car) you predict can score up to 3 Pts. If it Qualifies 1st = 3 Pts; 2nd = 2 Pts; 3rd or 4th = 1 Point. In this example the prediction of Nico Rosberg (Williams) who qualified 3rd would score 1 Point. Lastly, Fastest Lap. If your prediction does achieve the Fastest Lap (which this example does) then you score an additional 1 Point. So the Sum Total = 26 POINTS (24+1+1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I'm proposing is that you enter an intial Prediction (Top 8 Finish Order; Pole Driver; Fastest Lap). This then can be used as your auto selection for all the remaining GP's unless to opt to change your selection at a later / the next GP. As ever the Final Decision will be after the FIA/Stewards have declared it is a Final Result even though they frequently make an ass of things So if you are interested in playing, let me know in this thread by the end of Monday.
March 30, 200916 yr I think Australia along with Canada and Monaco is one of the hardest to call. So many accidents happen at these circuits it is unreal.

March 30, 200916 yr oh $h!t so there isn't  Nothing better than watching 4 safety cars in one race and all the casualties. After Belgium and Monaco/Australia it is one of the best circuits imo, because it is so unpredictable.
