BJ Formula 1 2009 Fantasy Prediction Game

For the Malaysian GP (onwards) you predict the following:

The Top 8 in Order of Finish:

The Driver on Pole after qualifying

The Driver with the Fastest Lap during the race

Example:

Take the Australian GP:

Your Prediction is

Top 8 Finish:

1. Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP)

2. Jarno Trulli (Toyota)

3. Jenson Button (Brawn GP)

4. Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber)

5. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari)

6. Fernando Alonso (Renault)

7. Nico Rosberg (Williams)

8. Giancarlo Fisichella (Force India)

Pole: Nico Rosberg (Williams)

F Lap: Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari)

However the actual race Results are:

1 Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes

2 Rubens Barrichello Brawn-Mercedes

3 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes

4 Timo Glock Toyota

5 Fernando Alonso Renault

6 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota

7 Sébastien Buemi Toro Rosso-Ferrari

8 Sébastien Bourdais Toro Rosso-Ferrari

Pole: Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes

5th Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota

F Lap: Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota

Then the scoring would look like this:

For the actual Top 8 Prediction - you would score the same number of points as in the actual Grand Prix's (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) BUT you could only score the maximum of your prediction position made.

Therefore based on the Prediction example:

1 Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes (Predicted 3rd but Finished 1st = 6 Pts (for 3rd place Prediction))

2 Rubens Barrichello Brawn-Mercedes (Predicted 1st but Finished 2nd = 8 Pts (for 2nd place finish))

3 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes (Did Not predict in Top 8 = 0 Pts)

4 Timo Glock Toyota (Did Not predict in Top 8 = 0 Pts)

5 Fernando Alonso Renault (Predicted 6th but Finished 5th = 3 Pts (for 6th place prediction))

6 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota (Predicted 7th but Finished 6th = 2 Pts (for 7th place prediction))

7 Sébastien Buemi Toro Rosso-Ferrari (Did Not predict in Top 8 = 0 Pts)

8 Sébastien Bourdais Toro Rosso-Ferrari (Did Not predict in Top 8 = 0 Pts)

So Total = 19 Pts

+ Pole Qualifying, the Driver (Car) you predict can score up to 3 Pts. If it Qualifies 1st = 3 Pts; 2nd = 2 Pts; 3rd or 4th = 1 Point.

In this example the prediction of Nico Rosberg (Williams) who qualified 5th would score 0 Points.

Lastly, Fastest Lap. If your prediction does achieve the Fastest Lap (which this example does not = 0 Points) then you score an additional 1 Point.

So the Sum Total = 19 POINTS (19+0+0)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Please enter an initial Prediction (Top 8 Finish Order; Pole Driver; Fastest Lap). BEFORE THE QUALIFYING session for the Malaysian GP. Qualifying: Saturday 4th April 17:00 ( 10:00 BST)

This then can be used as your auto selection for all the remaining GP's unless to opt to change your selection at a later / the next GP before that GP's Qualifyian session starts.

All points will be carried over on a race by race basis.

As ever the Final Decision will be after the FIA/Stewards have declared it is a Final Result even though they frequently make an ass of things. Which means I could be altering the results days after the race took place!

Worth noting for your Predictions:

Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull-Renault) has a 10 place grid-penalty at the Malaysian GP.

The appeal against the controversial diffuser designs on the Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams cars will be heard on Tuesday April 14. So they could end up losing their points if the diffuser appeal is over turned and they are deemed illegal.

^ Your selections will be automatically entered for the next Grand Prix, unless you wish to change your entry in which case post your changed entry further on in this thread.

For those of you who failed to enter before the Malaysia GP, you have not missed out on too many points thanks to the race being red flagged before 75% completion and half points being scored.

The next Grand Prix is in China 19th April.

not too bad for me, I lost out with the Ferraris being idiots both in quali and the race btu for such an unpredicatble race I'm happy with that.

WD Juranamo

Massa f***ed up Quali, and Kimi's KERS was not supposed to break :kink:

If it hadn't have rained i think i'd have done better,

Congrats Juranamo!

Congrats Juranamo!

Thanks :D I think its great that Jensen won though :D But not great that only half points were awarded :P The race would have been 'interesting' if they had carried on :P

Congrats Jur, new game this week?

Yes.

Although I'm waiting for the result tomorrow of the Diffuser appeal to see if I need to change the scores. :drama:
