yeah, i think she has another good selling album in her! she writes good stuff!

but, i dont think she has the longest shelf life due to the ridiculous image! ...and the fact she will probably be replaced by some young ACTUALLY pretty thing!

and the fact she will probably be replaced by some young ACTUALLY pretty thing!

because that's what people look for in good music

Oh god :(

Not the kinda promo, you were hoping for?!?!

Katy Perry hasn't disappeared either, Waking Up In Vegas will be a top 20 hit for her in my opinion, but after that who knows.

I meant after this album...the kissing girl will be off to the Abyss! <_<

i actually quite like GaGa's performance it brought a new perspective to the song to me because i was well over it but i like it again no. The arrangement was top. Katy Perry will have one half decent hit off her next album then will flop with the rest imo. Lady GaGa will be around for atleat another 3/4 years with 2/3 more studio albums.

of course they do, it's mainly all image, as well as a hot track! she aint pretty, hence all the fanfare with her image (i.e her clothing, or lack of it -_- as JR said to make her look like a ho)!

there are plenty of better singers out there, who sing better than Britney, Rihanna, GaGa and that ilk...but they are too fat or ugly or both to be signed by anyone!

I'm pretty sure no one buys songs because of what they look like ...

You might think that..but it totally isnt the case! People buy music in part cos they like it, but some buy it cos they wanna be like the person. Just listen to the kids of today!

Anyway, I have her album, this performance, or the terrible one on American Idol wont stop me listening, cos I love it too much. However, it doesnt hide from the fact that she is fugly $l*t! ;)

That performance was awful, i actually had to turn over before it ended.

I like gaga but i have to agree with what someone said earlier, she is just a trend.

GaGa isn't just a trend at all, she's been around a while and did so much work towards creating the image and success she wanted. And it happened, beyond any of her longstanding fans' wildest expectations..

If she was just a trend, she wouldn't be as globally successful as she has became.. She's a combination of talent and hype, that's where she differs from Rihanna and Britney.

She controls what music she puts out and it's definitely guaranteed that she won't be just another trend artist, she's got the attitude and talent to even topple/become as successful as The Fame era with her 2nd album

^^ she might have been around for a while but the majority of the public have only just heard of her now and they will also grow tired of her because you cant sustain the new fresh image forever. The clues are in the words.

No offence, but the small gathering of fans that have followed her from the start arent really relevant as they dont represent the general feeling of the music buying public.

And you are right, she isnt like rihanna or britney - because they have both proven that they can sell records regardless of how old they are to the industry.

I don't think GaGa is just a trend either, far from it. She's the most exciting pop star to emerge in years, and providing her second album isn't a carbon copy of The Fame and she reinvents her image a bit she should be fine.

see this has become the GaGa thread...

that performance was beyond bad.

was she high or something during the interview, she looked like she would jump across and strangle Wossy. He didn't seem impressed either.

I also heard the Deadmau5 and Kaskade song yesterday and this morning. It's defo not what I expected, but I do like it.
