With a new year, comes a new leaf. Kathaldazia are aiming this year to send inspired never-ever-before heard entries as well as to get your booty on the dancefloor! Yes. You heard me correct. Booty. On. The. Dancefloor. So look out for some electrohouse, indieelectro and electrodance smash entries from us this year! We hope to gain a broader support group with this initiative and would love feedback on what you think. And our entry for the next contest is Romanian electrohouse freestyle artist Inna, who I've been hyping about since late 2008 and now I'm finally entering her. :D The thomper track is entitled Don't Let The Music Die. Completely different to Amazing which was sent by Ben's Sanctuary a while ago, much more BJSC friendly and instant too. So please take a listen and let us know what you think! ;o

 

yeah I like it Kath, again it's very Ibiza late 90's ish but with an updated twist - very good :D

Catchy stuff. Not as good as Amazing which is my fav Inna track, but this is pretty good.

without a doubt Inna will be your best choice...she's getting a lot of exposure which can reflect top 10 finish :)

Kathaldazia Returns//

 

Anyone remember Kathaldazia? Originally famous for our South African entries before going on a downward spiral after winning with Eva Simons. Well, we're back and back to our original roots. We are going back to our South African entries only strategy, it is our edge over all the other countries and hopefuly it works better for us upon our comeback.

 

Enough chit chat, our comeback entry is a song called In Stereo by South African girl group La Vuvuzela. All I can say is LISTEN. I see a lot of Lady Gaga and Poker Face comparisons lying ahead for the entry's criticism but that is actually a good thing. Is this our Jody - Wind It part 2? Will it be good enough for us to win or return to the top 10? All feedback will be hugely appreciated. X

 

It's very derivative of Poker Face, but not as good as Wind It was (which was good enough to get away with ripping off Don't Stop The Music). Still good though...

@ Tyron: Song is a huge grower. I think you'll end up liking it more than 'Wind It' in the end. .

It's very difficult to think of any comment other than it sounds like Poker Face. I know most music is influenced by previous acts and songs but this really is pretty much identical in both song structure and tune.

Welcome back Kath :D Secrets and Wind It are still up there in my top 3 favourite BJSC discoveries ever and I still regularly play them both. I'm familiar with this band's song Be Mine Tonight which was very good. This is very good too, probably as good as that, but not up there with Secrets and Wind It for me, it's very much the sort of post-Gaga pop that fills the contest anyway these days whereas Secrets was amazing in a retro late 90's/early 00's sort of way and Wind It was all about that incredible breakdown/final minute :wub:

This is cheap, and trashy and FABULOUS :wub: Welcome back Kath, I always loved how you represented your home and your culture with your entries, although your best entry IMHO was $pend My Money :)

There have been a few rule changes since you were last here, the main one is the anonymous confirmation. You can't say what you are sending until the actual voting thread is opened. This is so us mods can veto any uber cheap entries and give all the tracks a level playing field.

 

You can say that 'there is a strong chance....' or 'favourite to win the national final is...' but you can't say i've confirmed XYZ

Secrets and Wind It are both still in my top ten favourite BJSC entries ever, so yes you're always more than welcome :wub:
