Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan has announced that the group will release two singles before bringing out their new album.

 

The chart-topping girlband have recently been promoting their latest song 'Get Sexy', the first to be taken from the group's forthcoming seventh studio album. The track will be released on August 31.

 

Writing on Twitter, Buchanan revealed: "We will have another single - not sure which one yet - before the album drops."

 

She added: "The album does not have a title yet. The rest of the tracks on this new album does (sic) not have the same feel as the first single. Like always, it's all different."

 

The 24-year-old singer recently admitted that the band were too "complacent" when they promoted the release of their Catfights And Spotlights album last year.

About A Girl was confirmed by Keisha at the Amsterdam set last night as the next single. No word on the producer. It's apparently an 'old-school Sugababes uptempo', whatever that means!

I dont want it to be a Neyo song, his are generally dissapointing, glad its uptempo though. It seems a bit weird that they have worked with Red-One who is like the hot producer of the moment and yet they aren't doing anything with the song(s).

Looking back at their tweets from when they started recording it looks like this is the RedOne 'banger' they mentioned, because at the time Amelle tweeted 'you dont know about a girl, love it'. I just hope it's on a par with his GaGa work because most of his productions are rubbish.

I suspect if its Neyo penned there's a fair chance its RedOne which could be a good way to go but i don't know if he's much cop outside of GaGa (as you said Jark), although Takin' Back My Love is pretty good.

 

Btw, i keep seeing it written that RedOne has done Rihanna songs. Was a bit confused by this as she's not done anything that was obviously his(?) to me (other than maybe Breakin' Dishes). However on checking her sleeve notes on GGGB, i noticed she's worked with RedZone (note the Z), not RedOne, so this could all be a huge error where sources are quoting others who made/read it as a typo? Perhaps someone knows better, i'm def curious! :wacko:
