I managed to find out that the USB had sold 196 copies in the UK (by the end of Sunday). I wonder how many have been made?

I’d guess maybe 500 - 1000? It looks so cute I definitely want it but with having to buy so many presents and spoil the nephews I have I put off treating myself.

So will those sales be added to The Fames total or will this be a separate chart entry?

I often get confused as Amy’s back to black went to #1 twice.

It'll be added to the running total of The Fame! :D

Regarding Back To Black, there were chart rules in place at the time which didn't allow a re-released version of an album to exceed a certain percentage of bonus material in relation to the original album. I can't recall what that figure was, but Amy's Deluxe was comprised of 42.1% new tracks, which was deemed too much - so it was forced to chart separately. At some point in time this rule was removed (or altered), which resulted in Back To Black being able to chart as one single entry again.

That’s interesting! Its often in the lower end of the top 100 albums chart as well but it’s the original album with the second version (the deluxe) not charting since 2008. Crazy rules. I think Michael Jackson has some albums what have charted twice too it’s confusing to keep track of sales I’d imagine like whether they’re combined or separate

Back to Gaga! Good to see The Fame will get some more extra sales though 3,000,000 and counting US females could never and with a debut album too. It’s crazy to see how huge the era really was and just how big her peak actually was as well for a pure pop album it’s amazing. Its also crazy how some countries had the The Fame and The Fame Monster chart separately. If the UK did that then she’d have 3 million selling albums I’d assume! I’m glad it never mind as I love that she has 72 weeks top ten with just one album!

I think the two versions of Back to Black were combined the first full chart week following Amy's death (I.E. when it returned to #1). Not sure if this is what promoted the rule to change for all albums though.

I remember Michael Buble's Call Me Irresponsible was also split between standard and re-release at the time.

What was with the different track-listing between the UK and US releases of this?

I ordered this from EBay as I realised I never had an actual physical copy of the stand alone the Fame album. I totally must’ve misplaced it or got rid of it by accident when I bought The Fame Monster but I was expecting I Like It Rough to come on after Poker Face so when Eh Eh played I thought eh!

I’m sure P!nks Misundazstood UK version is different to the US too in terms of tracklisting.

As much as I love the debut era its entire worldwide organisation is such a mess  so many different versions / some of which count alongside The Fame Monster, some don't. My OCD is triggered by it all :drama:

IKR!

I never know if to separate The Fame Monster from The Fame on my iPod / listening devices or if to combine them. I change my mind on that like every other week.

Part of me wishes it charted separate in UK but the fact it’s sold 3m in UK makes me feel it’s good they did combine it.

In the UK, just over 800,000.

I’m surprised at that!

For some reason I felt it sold more but I think I made a mistake in thinking all the 2009 sales were the Fame alone as we got the re release in the November didn’t we?

Yep! I think it got bumper sales over Christmas 2009.

800,000 is still a huge number for its first initial 4-single campaign though.
