Given the fuss about Michael Ashcroft, Lewis Hamilton - a man who left the country as soon as he made a few bob - doesn't seem the ideal choice of celebrity backer.

The Lib Dems have John Cleese as a long-term supporter (he made an election broadcast in 1987) and are said to be hopeful that he can get Michael Palin to declare his support too.

Do David Beckham & John Cleese live in the country for long enough to pay tax or are they also in tax exile like Lord Ashcroft & Lewis Hamilton?

I don't think John Cleese does any more although I'm not sure that tax was the reason for leaving the country. Similarly, Beckham didn't leave the country for tax reasons.

Everything.

They've kept two election promises.

1] Lose the Tay/Forth bridge tolls.

2] Scrap the graduate endowment

They've lost a lot of support in Glasgow for scraping the Airport rail link. Which is completely retarded given that Glasgow is holding the Commonwealth Games in 4years time

Yeah, and they promised to re-regulate the buses as well and bring them back under public ownership... And then obviously one of their "big contributors" Brian fukkin' Soutar (owner of Stagecoach) had a "word" with them..... <_<

The SNP deserve to get their arses kicked for the broken promises and the lies... But, who the fukk do the people of Scotland actually vote FOR?? Tories...?? You must be kidding.... Labour... Ditto... There's a reason why the people of Scotland have rejected both of these fukkers....

I really do think it's time for a real Left-Wing Govt to take over... Tommy Sheridan as Scottish First Minister...?? Why not...

And now Broon has clearly lied to the Chilcot Inquiry about defence spending cuts.... Or does he really expect us to believe that someone with the sort of experience in Finance and Accounting that he has would get "cash terms" and "real terms" with regards to budgets and spending "mixed up"...?? Yeah, right..... Fukk off Gordon, you're a LIAR and CROOKED B'ASTARD..... <_<

Stagecoach are outrageously expensive, especially in Fife where they can use the fact it's rural as an excuse to hike the prices. -_-

I agree it's time to get shot of them on every level. We've suffered on a national scale because of them and on a local scale. The SNP-Liberal council in Fife has f***ed the county up, they brought in random regulations that mean that home-carers [who work for NHS Fife/Council] have to sit a £1000 course to keep their job, even if they've been in the job 10, 15 or 20 years :manson: I'd quite happily see LibLab return to FC.

I'd say the Lib Dems have their best shot at real power in this next election [scotland], the SNP are going to loose support, everyone hates the tories and Labour are on a slide. It's either going to be a hung parliament ruled by a coalition government or a minority Lib Dem governement like the SNP have now i think.
