- I can see this one being misinterpreted, so let me just say I'm probably the LAST person you could accuse of being xenophobic, but anyway: the whole house smacks of being foreign for the sake of foreign? I wouldn't normally have commented, but I think the fact that Sree was chosen just says it all really - someone who's basically defined themselves upon their dual patriotism? Ditto for Angel, who seems to just be there on the basis of her nationality and its stereotype...given that it makes for pretty boring viewing, I actually want to know what BB are aiming for with it all...THAT SAID, we do have some pretty fantastic housemates as a result of it (Beinazir), but PLZ Big Brother, you aren't doing yourselves favours by playing things like Punjabi MC over their intro tapes...

- LGBT. Being gay myself I'm pretty disgusted that there isn't a single 'normal' gay/bi person in there. In fact, aren't basically half of them gay/bi anyway? Again, going for the stereotypical minorities (Lisa, Charlie, Angel (?), Rodrigo, Freddie to an extent...) is just boring now :(

 

NOW. In order, from best to worst, I think the following:

 

Sophia: LOVE IT. Bubbly, frank, she reminds me of an actual grown-up Kathreya. Saying that, hopefully she'll stay GOOD and the laugh won't begin to wear...

Beinazir: LOVE IT AGAIN. The whole frank straight-talking persona just gets me everytime - final week material I think ;o

Noirin: RARITY. Arrogant but not too much so it isn't that bad :o I can just about handle the silly mediaeval views GIVEN THE QUALITY OF CONTESTANTS IS SO AWFUL.

Siavash: 2222cool.

Karly: The intelligent bimbo ;o Wondering how far she'll go playing up the bimbo thang, this depends ENTIRELY upon how she's edited though.

Cairon: I think it says a lot that my sixth favourite out of 16 is there on the basis of me not minding him :(

Saffia: I wasn't listening to her VT but she seems alright from her BB profile...

Rodrigo: I can't decide if I like him or not...he could end up being too squealy-squealy BB camp though ;_;

Kris: LOL, self-centred much? That whole VT was a rather cringeworthy act...AS IF he doesn't know how to charm a girl?! :rolleyes:

Lisa: Would be alright if she wasn't such a godawful stereotype.

I was actually happy with the line up until that Angel woman came in then it went all weird. Not good for a launch show very disappointing :(

I didn't think Charlie was that bad, he seems fairly normal. Certainly a step forward from Marco, Kemal, Craig etc. It's a shame Lisa is such a stereotype with the tattoos, moehawk and looking like a man (I actually thought she was a man when I first saw her) there are plenty of feminine looking lesbians.

I agree with Tyron about the foreigners, i know it sounds rather awful that it's been pointed out, but it just seems really unnecessary

You can have a diverse selection of housemates without it being a carnival :mellow:. Seriously, to carry the show past the second week they need housemates people can actually RELATE to and get a tiny bit of emotional attachment for them. They'll wear off soon. I can see this being the worst BB ever tbh.
