May 16, 200916 yr France obviously got the jury vote, and UK benefitted a lot too. Songs with little jury appeal like Spain, Finland and Germany did worse
May 16, 200916 yr He, as Jerick said, was born in Belarus but has been living in Norway since 4 years old, so i think he is Belarussian in the first place.
May 16, 200916 yr Well done @ Norway, not my favourite but a great winner! Glad too for the UK and Estonia, glad we (and they) did so well. Shame for Ukraine, a bit overhyped? :P
May 16, 200916 yr Estonia got 6th.... the night was a success. Ukraine was a BIG disappointment, along with Albania I agree, I don't really see how this song was THAT different than the song from Ukraine last year - which got 2nd. I guess maybe the juries didn't go for people dancing in ancient roman army uniforms.
May 16, 200916 yr France obviously got the jury vote, and UK benefitted a lot too. Songs with little jury appeal like Spain, Finland and Germany did worse I think we benefitted yes but I think France stood up on there own with a well-known artist and established fanbase across Europe already.
May 16, 200916 yr He's not :o Surely if he's representing Norway he has to have some Norwegian blood Is Celine Dion Swiss? ;)
May 16, 200916 yr Wish they'd get a bloody move on & post the semi final results on the official website......
May 16, 200916 yr Nothing political, neighbour voting will ALWAYS be a part of the voting in here. And plus Estonia is quite not the same block with Bosnia :heehee: Political = block LOL All the former Soviet/Yugoslavian countries voting for each other etc.. Also, are you telling me Denmark, Finland + Sweden's 12's for Norway = coincidence? :/
May 16, 200916 yr BTW congratulations to Graham Norton on a great job commentating... Yeah I found him really entertaining. I know It shouldn't, but his remark about Germany and them having a "rally" behind the presenter made me LOL.
May 16, 200916 yr He, as Jerick said, was born in Belarus but has been living in Norway since 4 years old, so i think he is Belarussian in the first place. He is A FAAAAIRYTAAAAALE Edited May 16, 200916 yr by Erik'Fairy'Rybak
May 16, 200916 yr May 22nd is the provisional date but will probably have to be moved as it's on the same night as the Champions' League final.
May 16, 200916 yr ok now my question...do we know exact dates for final in Oslo :kink: On the conferance they said 18th, 20th and 22nd.. And I have b'day 26th :kink:
May 16, 200916 yr If you want a laugh tune in to 5Live. They have the biggest load of pricks imaginable calling in.. They're still on about political voting - one guy has just been blaming the war in Iraq for Jade "only coming 5th"
May 16, 200916 yr i thought France were going to come last i thought there entry was awful but just seen its 8th :o Their entry was superb! The vocals were rough tonight to be honest, but 8th is a very good result for France, their best since 2002 too, ironically :)
May 16, 200916 yr Estonia got 6th.... the night was a success. I agree, I don't really see how this song was THAT different than the song from Ukraine last year - which got 2nd. I guess maybe the juries didn't go for people dancing in ancient roman army uniforms. The Juries would more likely to give points to a 'bold man standing silent for 3 minutes' (gooddelta © :kink: ) than to this dirtinesssss ( :kink: ) Innocent 19-year-old girls singing about the break-ups and fit boys singing about fairytales are Juries' only contenders for points.
May 16, 200916 yr On the conferance they said 18th, 20th and 22nd.. And I have b'day 26th :kink: why not having a 6th may god damn it
