Now we're level with Liverpool in titles can we can go ahead or will it finally be Liverpool's season? Most importantly what will become of the Ronaldo saga? Will make the biggest mistake of his career and leave for Real Madrid?
May 16, 200916 yr :w00t: My mum was giving me the count down to full time on MSN :cheer: I told her to gloat to my dad for me [he's a liverpool fan :heehee:]
May 16, 200916 yr Well Done to Sir Alex Ferguson and co. In truth the title race was over once Liverpool lost at Middlesborough at the end of February.
May 16, 200916 yr There will be a big party tonight at Howard Webb's house They owe a bg chunk of this to him
May 16, 200916 yr There will be a big party tonight at Howard Webb's house They owe a bg chunk of this to him don't be so bitter.
May 16, 200916 yr Ronaldo will go, if not I think Fergie will make him go. He won't allow a circus every year, and every player has their price.
May 16, 200916 yr :nocheer: 92/93 Manchester United 93/94 Manchester United 94/95 Blackburn Rovers 95/96 Manchester United 96/97 Manchester United 97/98 Arsenal 98/99 Manchester United 99/00 Manchester United 00/01 Manchester United 01/02 Arsenal 02/03 Manchester United 03/04 Arsenal 04/05 Chelsea 05/06 Chelsea 06/07 Manchester United 07/08 Manchester United 08/09 Manchester United The EPL is getting as bad as the Old Firm in Scotland...
May 16, 200916 yr If Ronaldo goes they will fall apart No replacemet for him will get as many goals and assists, they will be Top 3 still yes but won't win title without Ronaldo
May 16, 200916 yr Call me biased but Liverpool will win the league next year. Every year we've been edging closer. Next season we should be able to improve on our current squad and here's hoping Gerrard and Torres will stay fit all season. I'm already very confident about next season as our current first XI is as good as Man Utd's and hopefully over the summer our squad will be able to match theirs. Ronaldo and Tevez will leave imo. I'm not sure what sort of damage it will leave Man Utd, but definitely over recent times statistics have shown when Ronaldo has been suspended or injured they've struggled. We'll see. Ronaldo is good, but he's not as good as he's made out to be. The only thing they probably won't be able to replace is his free kicks, as someone like Valencia or Ribery could easily replace Man Utd, but then I don't think how the front 4 all change around would work as well personally. Tevez I defininitely believe is off - where he'll end up is an entirely different question however. I really do get a sneaking feeling he'll go to Liverpool... has too many Rafa-like qualities.
May 16, 200916 yr I got a bad feeling Arsenal might do it next season :( If they buy a commanding centre back in the summer they will be serious contenders I think as I believe Arshavin will be player of the season in the premiership, got a bad feeling about him Man City I think will be contenders for Top 4 too 1. Arsenal 2. Liverpool 3. Man Utd 4. Man City 5. Chelsea 6. Spurs
May 16, 200916 yr I don't think many Arsenal fans think they'll win the title... They're light ways away from the other 3 teams - they need experienced players and they don't have the budget for it at the moment.
May 16, 200916 yr Arsenal will be nowhere near the top spot next season. Especially seen as the master of side-passing Alexandre Song seems to be in Wenger's long term plans as centre back. No doubt they'll get money for Adebayor that will remain unspent in the transfer market too. Unless they really bolster up in the summer it'll be Arsenal that the Citys, the Tottenhams and the Evertons will believe they can catch. Imo it'll be another United title next season, Ronaldo or no Ronaldo. Realistically, off the back of the money earnt for Ronaldo in case of him being sold, we'll be able to buy pretty much any player in the world. And as proved time and again we are certainly no one man club (Predicted collapses after the departures of Cantona and RVN failed to materialise). Add to that the crop of youth players like Rafael, Fabio, Gibson, Welbeck and Evans who will all see next season as their season. We have a very promising setup for next season. Way too early to call anything right now until all transfers have taken place but initial feelings based on what clubs have at their disposal would be: 1. Manchester United 2/3 Chelsea/Liverpool Arsenal, Spurs, Everton and City in some order following the top three.
May 17, 200916 yr They'll probably in that bracket of teams too, but its 80% likely that Barry will leave and they won't be as good without him him imo. They're still quite vunerable at the back as well.
May 17, 200916 yr I don't fancy Villa for next season. There are several teams that failed to perform this season but SHOULD have performed and thus Villa capitalised really. I can see both City and Spurs knocking them out of the European positions next campaign. Barry going would be a big blow to them too. And as we've seen from them for the past 2 months or so, when they're bad they really are bad (top five at the time and bottom of the form table? hmm). Fatigue certainly took its toll on them this season too and unless they bring in around another 4, 5, 6 players that can play regularly in the first team then I can't see anything different happening next season, seen as they've qualified for the Europa again..
