I just watched the Madge ep :wub: Like A Prayer, Like A Virgin, Vogue and 4 Minutes are amazing :heart:

One word two describe todays episode EPIC

I watched it again, and I agree with what I said first time round. Not a fan of the episode tbh. The storyline was weak, the choice of Madonna songs were poor [imho, they should've done Hanky Panky :kink: ], and nothing interesting actually happened! :/ Hopefully next week is better.

Seen this episode three times and love it even more every time. Definitely one of the best Glee episodes to date with lots of brilliant lines, acting and music.

Wasn't as great as I was expecting tbh. Awesome songs though. Especially loved Sue's story about her hair :lol:

The Madonna episode was epic! I loved every moment of it, definitely my favourite episode so far. The only thing I didn't like was the small edit of 'Like A Prayer'. :P

After watching it again last night I have to agree with the posters claiming it to be one of Glee's best episodes. The storyline may not have been at its strongest but I feel there were enough fantastic performances and funny moments to carry it through.

I also think the episode was a lot more equal in terms of character use. Rachel and Will still got a bit more use but it was good to hear Santanna sing and Tina get one of the episodes best scenes for example. The Kurt and Mercedes frienship is of course as amazing as it ever was.

Great episode, loads more great 1-liners from Brittany. :wub: I'm not overly impressed by the singles, but I do hope Glee get another UK top 10 single. :) I might check out some of Madonna's old stuff, I liked the bit of 'Ray Of Light' that was playing and also the song that was playing when Emma asked Sue why no music was playing in her office. :lol: :wub:

Change Frozen for Ray of Light and I would agree completely (although Ray of Light is my favourite Madge song not second). Although if you would lower your expectations, and consider only me downloading Frozen after hearing two seconds of it is worthy of noting as a "small boost", then yes it did :lol:

:o Vogue is a classic! I'll give you Hollywood though, never really liked it myself.

My least favourite songs are 'American Life', 'Human Nature' and 'Justify My Love'.

Noooo. I can't stand Madonna but I REALLY like 'Ray of Light'. :lol: My other 'Madonna-favourites' would probably be that, Die Another Day, Hollywood and Beautiful Stranger. - then that's probably about it. Everything else. :/

I think it'd be a bigger hit now, if it was used for the next Bond film for example.

I like it too ^_^ It's not one of her best but it certainly underperformed on a worldwide scale. It should've done much better.

I've never been a huge Madonna fan (i've always been aware of the influence and her importance of course but by the time I got into music as such, Madonna was a trend-follower not a trend-setter so to speak).

I've gotta say though - Music, Ray Of Light, Celebration, Vogue, Frozen, Like A Prayer...I never realized how many Madge songs I actually really liked.

I like Die Another Day.

I'm not a fan of her mid 90s stuff [anything after Vogue and before the Ray Of Light era - excluding You'll See]. She's definately at her best with ROL and her 80's material. With the exception of a handful of her tracks from the last decade - I really don't care that much...
