1 released in the UK before i entered it (I Bruise Easily), 1 was released very soon after I used it, and the last 3rd is about to be released after half a year since i won with it. :kink:

So... 3/13.

:lol: nice topic...here's the Rontvian stats;

I - unfortunately not :snif:

II - see above

III - yes, it reached No.4 in 2000, I was after a first top ten hit and got it :kink:

IV - yes, it reached No.4 in 2008, although quite a few months after I sent it and I had no idea it was going to get a UK release! It had already been a hit in the US though :kink:

V - no, never

VI - nope

VII - I wish :snif:

VIII - nope

IX - not a hope in hell of this coming out in the UK

X - the surefire No.1 single that's never going to happen

XI - not yet, but who knows, it could be a future single! Remember those Natasha Bedingfield/Louis Walsh 'photo opportunities' :kink:

XII - sadly not

XIII - another no show

XIV - nope, could be as big as The Veronicas too :o

XV - I think it did come out here actually, not as a physical perhaps but I'm sure the single was on the release schedule at one point :o

XVI - I wish...could be a surprise autumn dance hit though :magic:

so...Andreas, Sara and Emiliana have come out here, and Sara was way before I knew it had a UK release, Emiliana I didn't know it had been getting UK promotion but it must have had as it appeared in some other people's personal charts :o

so 2/3 out of 16 I guess...not many

The 411 - Dumb - Peaked at #3

Chris/Keri - Superhuman - Peaked at #32

Jamelia - La La Love - An album track so not realesead but is avaidable to download in the UK

Cookie - Do It Again - Peaked at something ridicolously low like #57

Kelly Osbourne - One Word - Peaked at #9

Girls Aloud - Singapore - Album Track, aviadable to buy on GA's Greatest Hits but not on I-Tunes afaik

Beverley Knight - Shoulda Woulda Coulda - Peaked at #10

VV Brown - Leave - Realesead in the UK but did not chart

The Saturdays - Work - Album track, soon to be realesead as a single

BJSC VII - Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home (#24)

BJSC VIII - ABBA - The Day Before You Came (#32)

After that I began to get the idea of the contest and after two more dire entries (not UK singles) I got my act together :kink:

BJSC IX - Miley and Billy Ray - Get Ready, Get Set, Don't Go - Would flop harder than it did in the contest

BJSC X - Dido - Look No Further - Would've got top 40 with promo, better than the lead single from her third album

BJSC XI - Ana Free - In My Place - Amazing song, could be a hit I think, top 20 maybe

BJSC XII - Wondergirls - Nobody - If it was fully in English it probably would appeal to a lot of people

BJSC XIII - Lady GaGa and NKOTB - Lady GaGa + UK = Hit

BJSC XIV - Velvet - Take My Body Close - I would've have thought this could be a big club hit, but chemistry flopped so I'm not sure

BJSC XV - Mira Craig - I'm The One - Maybe Not :P

BJSC XVI - Laura Marling - Ghosts - Her album did ok, maybe with a couple of TV performances this would've been a top 40

BJSC XVII - AySel - Say Maybe - Without the annoying woodwindy thing it could be a big hit in the uK ;D

2/11 ;D

I had Star Pilots with In The Heat Of The Night as my entry sometime last year and it was released this week. And I am quite sure 3OH!3 will be released in near future. And Röyksopp was released way before I entered it. Probably a few more but cannot remember all my entries right now.

Hmm interesting topic :o

II: Laura Critchley - What Do i Do? - Released, but never charted.

III: Mutya Buena - Addiction - Unreleased Demo.

VIII: Gabriella Cilmi - Got No Place To Go - Should have been released -_- remained an Album track

IX: Amy MacDonald - Barrowland Ballroom - Album Track

X: Sugababes - Never Gonna Dance Agian - See VIII

XI: Gabriella Cilmi - Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now - The club hit that never was, see VIII as well -_-

XII: Red Blooded Women - You Made Your Bed - Released on iTunes and 7" obviously did nothing chart wise.

XIII: Lorelei Carlson - Alone - Not released, although i believe it's now on iTunes USA.

XV: Haffi Haff - Give Me Sexy - Not been released over here, haven't a clue if it's been released in Iceland

XVI: Alex Roots - Don't Stop Looking - Not yet, but i am hopefully. If it makes the album obv.

4/16 released prior, 1/16 released after 6/16 album tracks, 2/16 unreleased demos and 3/16 not released in the UK atm with one hopefully becoming an album track

you've caught the release list bug now Jonjo :kink:
But in all honesty 'Knock You Down' is probably the best and most wise choice of entry I have made :heehee: and I think I confirmed before it was OFFICIALLY announced as second UK single... so that's not too bad

But i am 100% guilty with The Yeah Yous. (Thankyou Popjustice :kink:)

agreed on the first point, it definitely wasn't on the release schedule when you confirmed it...the first time I listened to it was in fact in your national thread I think! I can't believe it only came 10th though, what a complete injustice :snif:

Dreams reached No.6 in 1998, Little Trees version of I'm A Little Yellow Fish reached No.11, but Creamy's wasn't released here...Battle didn't come out here...I think You Know Me Better was a single here but I can't remember

Carrie Underwood-Before He Cheats - NO

Darin/Kat De Luna-Breathing Your Love - NO

why these two haven't been released in the UK I just don't know...they have hit written all over them

why these two haven't been released in the UK I just don't know...they have hit written all over them

Im glad they did not :P...Carrie was my first top 5 finish while Darin brought me the highest placing at #3

I can't believe it only came 10th though, what a complete injustice :snif:

I agree, could be my song of the year so far.

RIGHT, this is gonna be embarrassing:

VI: Beverley Knight - Black Butta (Live on Jools Holland) - Album track (although it's one of her best songs, shoulda been a single, don't get me started -_-) and LIVE anyway. Probably my proudest entry as I thought Buzzjack had no interest in her at all.

VII: Estelle - No Substitute Love - Second single after "American Boy", was released around the time but only made #30. :(

VII: Sara Bareilles - Fairytale - Not a single, unfortunately wont get a release.

IX: Santogold - You'll Find A Way - Album track, doubt it'll be released.

X: M.I.A. - Jimmy - Released about a year before I sent it, chart run was 66-OUT.

XI: Robyn - Dream On - Released shortly after I sent it, peaked at #29 and spent two weeks in the top 75. HOWEVER. I didn't know it was getting released when I picked it. It had no video and all I knew was that it was on the US version of her album.

XII: Little Boots - Stuck On Repeat - Didn't know of a release, shortly after it was given away free on iTunes (before being removed again) and was briefly on the Radio 1 playlist but I'm not sure it was released properly.

XIII: A.R. Rahman & M.I.A. - O...Saya - Wasn't released, part of a soundtrack.

XIV: September - Can't Get Over - Knew it was being released but I had only just discovered it and loved it too much NOT to send it. Peaked at #14 and only spent 5 weeks in the top 75. (compared to the #5 and 22 weeks of her previous hit)

XV: Video Villain - Paranoia - A demo by Little Boots' ex-bandmates, probably wont see the light of day. (for a long while, at least)

XVI: David Guetta & Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over (Electro Radio Edit) - Will be released soon, but this isn't the version most radio stations will be playing. Hopefully it'll spend longer than the current 6 weeks in the top 75 record held by Estelle of my entries.

So I'd say 5/11 of my entries have had proper (top 75) releases before or after the contest. :(

Girls Aloud - Singapore - Album Track, aviadable to buy on GA's Greatest Hits but not on I-Tunes afaik

TBH, not even that, it's only on the 2CD limited version of the GH, which is now out of print...

Anyway, none of my entries had a UK release - yet :kink:

I - Cher - The Shoop Shoop Song (Yes #1 in 1990)

II - Pink - Just Like A Pill (Yes #1 in 2002)

III - Liberty X - Song for Lovers (Yes hit #5 in 2005)

IV - Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Someboy (Yes hit #1 in 1987)

V - M.I.A. - Paper Planes (Hit #19 in UK charts. I sent a few months before it was a hit)

VI - Evanecence - Bring Me To Life (Yes hit #1 in 2003)

VII - Keri Hilson - Energy (Has not charted in the UK)

VIII - Kate Ryan - Ella Elle L'a (Has not charted in the UK)
