May 2, 201015 yr alright then, here's my rate. it's going to be so stereotypical but oh well. :P 10: Once // well obviously. the intro automatically makes me feel as if my ears are having an orgasm, then as soon as the chorus kicks in, wow!! :wub: best single of the year so far. the best song is two tracks below. 09: Remake Me and You // gone off it a little since the sampler, but still great. reminds me of lady sovereign 'so human', especially with the intro. loving the beat to it as well. 10: The Boy Who Murdered Love // sex in audio format. :heart: every single part of it is so catchy, especially the repeated words in the chrous. love the synths too! :wub: orgasm song. 10: Four Leaf Clover // brilliant ballad. the chorus is quite subtle, while at the same time quite emotional. the outro is also awesome. :heart: 09: Put It Back Together // overshadowed by the song before it, although the parts where she says 'I think we'll be alriiiiiight' are quite gripping to me. 10: You'll Never Get To Heaven // amaze. :wub: the instrumental is so owl city, and with a chorus as strong as this, too good to not give a 10. great lyrics too. 10: Me and You // like I said before, very paramore 'the only exception' :wub: wasn't so keen on the 30sec clip on itunes, but the full version is beautiful. the 'stuck like glue' line is a little cringey, but apart from that, excellent. 09: My Hip // it's grown on me, and I like how diana plays the trumpet in it. the synths are also pretty mint. :heart: 09: N.U.M.B // very strong ballad, the chorus is the only thing that holds me back from giving it a 10. however, the intro is amazing. 09: Hit // even if it is a cover, diana gives it a bit of her own magic. very catchy verses and chorus all go together to make it a pretty cool pop song. :wub: 10: Notice // w.o.w. best ballad on the album for sure :wub: every part of it sounds so emotional and immense, reminds me of goldfrapp 'a+e' a little. 08: Jumping Into Rivers // least favourite on the album, maybe because it leaked a while back and I've got bored of it, I don't know. it just seems quite shallow and watered down compared to some other upbeat songs on here ('once', 'you'll never get to heaven', etc.) although it is quite feel-good and summery. not single material though. 10: Chasing You // absolutely amazing album closer. :wub: I don't know what it is about it, maybe because it's quite slow and powerful at the same time. that outro is fit, brilliant way to close a truly amazing album. :heart: and that comes to an average of 9.46/10 which is not far off a 10. the best album of 2010 so far, and probably the best out of the last two years as well imo. her voice is so gripping, and with all the electro songs, it all works and is defintely her style. I hope the next three singles (if she's going for three) will be 'the boy who murdered love', 'notice' and 'you'll never get to heaven'. I'd say 'chasing you', but I'd rather that stay as an album track.
May 3, 201015 yr Wow, im so impressed with this album, pretty much love every song. Hit and my hip are the only songs that i think are just OK. I'm hoping The boy who murdered love is second single, but jumping into rivers has a very summery feel so would be very happy for that to be released next and then either Put It Back Together Again or Four Leaf Clover for X Factor time if she can get a performance slot as they are the best ballads (there arent any bad ones though). Best album release since Leona's Echo (imo)
May 3, 201015 yr I was in HMV and they were playing this album. Decided not to buy it (though I probably will at some point), I went for Ellie Goulding & Owl City on the 2 for £10 offer instead :P I've not listened to it in full, but "The Boy Who Murdered Love" really needs to be the next single. I also really like "Jumping Into Rivers" - I never listened to it when it leaked. And my mother, who really hates that "Diana Vickers thing" as she called her, even said that she didn't mind "Jumping Into Rivers" :o

Notice :wub: (stunning ballad, surely a single?!) 5. N.U.M.B. 6. You'll Never Get To Heaven 7. Put It Back Together 8. Hit 9. Chasing You 10. My Hip 11. Four Leaf Clover 12. Me & You 13. Jumping Into Rivers I really like the top 8, I'll give the rest a chance to grow although 'Jumping Into Rivers' is still naff. -_-

Me & You Top 7 I LOVE, 8 and 9 I really like and the bottom four are hit and miss, I sometimes like them, sometimes don't care much for them, particularly the bottom two in terms of the latter. Top 3 are in a league of their own, completely agree Aly about Notice. But it's so far back on the album, it's probably not something they've got planned as a single at least initially :(

It's what 'Under The Sheets' should have sounded like imo.] 06. 'Four Leaf Clover' --------- 07. 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' [i can see why this was chosen as 2nd single though] 08. 'N.U.M.B.' --------- 09. 'Remake Me & You' 10. 'Chasing You' 11. 'Me & You' 12. 'Jumping Into Rivers' --------- 13. 'My Hip' [The only one I dislike, although it is growing slowly, very slowly] I literally love my Top 6. I really like 7-12 and growing for number 13 :wub: Oh. The album made number 1 :cheer:. On sales of 35k though :nocheer:
May 10, 201015 yr 10 'Once' :: Amazing, and has been since it premiered. (L) 09 'Remake Me & You' :: I like the chorus, but the verses are a bit weak. 10 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' :: AMAZING. Best on the album, absolutely fantastic verses and chorus. (L)(L)(L) 08 'Four Leaf Clover' :: Really nice ballad, much prefer this to the acoustic. 07 'Put It Back Together' :: Extremely overrated, although the chorus is alright, I guess. 09 'You'll Never Get To Heaven' :: Really beautiful chorus, and my favourite mid-tempo on the album. 07 'Me & You' :: Awful chorus, although I like the tone to Diana's voice in the verses. 08 'My Hip' :: Fun, energetic song, but not as good as the first 3 on the album. 07 'N.U.M.B' :: Quite boring overrall, not much else to say. 08 'Hit' :: A good mid-tempo, but there isn't much to the chorus. 09 'Notice' :: Love this, best ballad on the album, the chorus is lushh. 09 'Jumping Into Rivers' :: I actually got quite bored of this after it leaked, but it's since re-grown on me with the album, and it's much better than I remember it to be! 08 'Chasing You' :: Nice ballad to end the album, the outro definately suits the end of an album.
