July 1, 200916 yr However because of this it isn't Cascada's fault either. How did they know this was to happen on this week :P Anyway i think this weeks is going to be one of the best purely because of MJ dominating  and thankfully no.1 as well
July 1, 200916 yr Right enough of the Michael Jackson crap in the mids, after that last comment, he has a right to be in the singles chart, he deserves to be in the chart as well as the other music that's in there, just because he has sadly passed away does not give you a right to fffing and blinding about it and keep those comments to yourself. Any more like that will be deleted by myself or by the chart mods. Its a music forum for crying out loud. Let it rest. Well said!
July 1, 200916 yr Hey Norma, they are indeed - even better; 9+1 Thank you! That's good news - and I suppose if it wasn't for poor MJ passing away they'd have a bit more of a cushion inside the top 10! I'm hoping that their four nights at Wembley will secure a few more sales and they should stay top ten come Sunday and (possibly) the following Sunday. Norma
July 1, 200916 yr well its my opinion and i'm sticking to it, i never liked him when he was alive and i certainly dont like him now that he's dead, im not succumbing to all of this unecessary hype that the vast majority of people out there who were also never fans of him are all of sudden becoming fans or just pretending to be fans and getting his music so they can fit in just because he died. Yes its sad that a life has ended but it doesnt mean that i have to like HIM or the fact all his music is preventing other artists from getting good chart postions. FYI farrah fawcett and billy mays also died but nobody seems to give a flaming sh*t about either of them. Propilot87, you seem completely oblivious to the impact and success that Michael Jackson had on the world of music, which makes seems strange to me as you obviously do have an interest in music and music sales. I presume that the '87' in your name refers to your year of birth and if that's the case then you would have missed the most astronomical of his successful years in the 80s and possibly were too young to even remember the the early 90s. By missing out on those years you missed out on the heyday of a true entertainment phenomenon and the hype surrounding his death is not unnecessary. This is Michael Jackson for god's sake. In terms of worldwide success and influence he is on par with Elvis and the Beatles. So many of the most successful acts since the 80s have been influenced and looked up to him. Even acts like Madonna and Prince grew up listening to Michael Jackson in the 60s and 70s. Acts like Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Chris Brown, Akon, Ne Yo, Kanye West, Will.i.am (to name just a few recent acts) all worship him and been influenced by him. By comparing him to Farrah Fawcett and Billy Mays is just laughable. It's sad that they died, but there's a reason they are getting only little coverage - they didn't have anywhere near the global appeal or success or impact that Jackson had. Nobody is asking you to like Michael Jackson, but show some respect for one of the greatest entertainers in the world and keep your opinion to yourself. I can safely say that I don't own any MJ music or Jackson 5 music as i don't feel the need to because if i want to listen to him all I have to do is nick my mothers collection. I wouldn't mind it if it were a new song from him at #1 but all his music has had it's chance when they were originally released i'd prefer new music at #1 in both charts. You do have a point, but I think the charts should reflect music popularity and whether people here like it or not, Michael Jackson's songs are popular enough right now to chart higher than many other artist's new releases. It's a fact of life and there's very little that can be done to stop it. Perhaps in the not too distant future we will have a new Michael Jackson track at number one. It's well known that he had been working on new music for the last few years.
July 1, 200916 yr Totally off topic and random (sorry Mart!n) but bobmoo79 - are you the same person as 'Bob the Moo' on IMDb? Norma
July 1, 200916 yr Cascada clearly deserves number 1 more than Jacko. All he did was die ffs shut the f@ck up you insensitive prick... what did Cascada do to the music industry except covering dead 90's tracks????
July 1, 200916 yr Well er, this Cascada song isn't a cover at all is it? But that comment was uncalled for. If Cascada can cut the lead by 3k in a day, and it's only Wednesday, I think they'll be No.1 Sunday.
July 1, 200916 yr Well er, this Cascada song isn't a cover at all is it? It covers Just Dance, but not officially. :cheer:

July 1, 200916 yr Woow so close to top 40 :w00t: RyRy anything for Brit? and is it maybe Melanie Fiona somewhere. :) Womanizer 180+1 and Circus (album) 120+2. No Melanie in top 200.
July 1, 200916 yr shut the f@ck up you insensitive prick... what did Cascada do to the music industry except covering dead 90's tracks???? Excuse me? Who are you to call me insensitive - I was stating fact. FYI, Cacada has provided countless club bangers for clubbers across Europe to enjoy. But dullards like you wouldn't appreciate that obviously. MJ had his chance at number 1 with Man In The Mirror whenever it was released, he failed. Cascada deserves this number 1 more.
July 1, 200916 yr RyRy, anything for Lenka, please? :D Oh, also exact position for the Killswitch Engage, Friendly Fires and Moby album (if those haven't been answered). :) Thanks. Well er, this Cascada song isn't a cover at all is it? But that comment was uncalled for. This. Edited July 1, 200916 yr by FM11
July 1, 200916 yr Right wrap it up. We don't need this again. Accept someones opinion, no need for insults at all.

I would like to see Cascada release ETD after 20 years and see it get anywhere near No 1. People can buy songs as often as they want as long as theres a demand for them, and the death of MJ makes it understandable that those who may have missed the hype the first time round may want to see what all the fuss was about. He deserves to get to the top spot for his body of work anyway, and hopefully if the funeral takes place on the Friday the coverage will push it over the edge. Besides, even if Crapca.. oops I mean Cascada don't make it this time, they'll probably do it next week as the hubris surrounding Jacko substides. I think its a quiet week for new releases too. So, smiles all round..

Thankfully I've never had the misfortune of being in a club where the dj thought that Cascada constituted dance music.

So what are you saying...You've never been in a club where the DJ has played Cascada? What type of clubs do you go to? Songs from 'Everytime We Touch' had massive club airplay, as did 'What Hurts The Most'. And I've heard Evacuate The Dancefloor in some form, every night I've been out for the past 3 weeks. ETD has been remixed by 3 of the biggest names in dance music too - that should demonstrate how hyped the track is.
