I always found Let go incredibly overated. Didn't it sell like 16 million copies. It's a good album, do not get me wrong but those sales are personally not deswrved. But it's the least listened album out the three from her. Creatively, Under my skin is her best album.

I think Let Go was just one of those albums released at the perfect time, people were getting bored with the Britney's of the world and wanted an alternative. She just connected with children/teenagers I suppose in a way most of the bubblegum artists weren't. I remember hearing Complicated the first time and falling in love, she was just more "rock" and "cool" (then obviously everyone decided to copy her and she wasn't). I'm pretty sure I still know all the lyrics to Let Go, it's just one of those defining childhood albums.

I liked Under My Skin too - then she got dreadful.

c-listed on radio 1! about time! :w00t:

Finally.

Too late imo.

she's up to 29 on itunes right now, plus airplay has only really just kicked off. it's certainly not too late yet.

Wow... soaring high. Not.

I'm hoping it all kicks in soon... is there ANY promo planned though?

Looks to me it like it may just have been at the right time ^_^

Edit:

UK Itunes #25

US Itunes #11

Edited by Simon.

see, progress already :D I think that she could be up into the top 20, possibly top 15 tomorrow.
Could avril benefit from this new "download as soon as it's hit the radio" thing?

I was THINKING this... It would make sense as to her album being released in March... premieing her next single just before album release.

She'll be in UK next week
She's #27 on Wednesday updated btw !

Yay for a new peak, it's still a rubbish peak though.

I know she's coming to the UK but any word on what she is going to be doing? ^_^

I am not getting a good feeling about this era. I can see me loving it but it but not seeing this era explode. I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't do well at all. Avril has never been an artist people anticipate for a lead single or new album. Hmm, have to wait and see i guess.

She's on Daybreak on Tuesday :D

Looking forward to the album

So she's managed to turn this around slightly in the US and is up to number 5 on their iTunes! :o Did she perform at the Grammy's?

No.

Hmmm, Daybreak isn't going to help her, I don't know what will! -_-

SHE'S PRESENTING AT THE BRIT AWARDS. :cheer:

Under My Skin and TBDT are definitely the most anticipate albums back to 2004 and 2007. This era won't explode but it's not neccessarily a bad thing. It's not like the album will die immediately like Bionic. All she needs is promoting but i don't see a lot of promo in other countries beside Japan :puke2:

Without a heavy promo and a hype, WTH still can go back to Top 5 in US and with the Grammy storm. It's still staying strong in Top 10. The era may not be massive like her first three but it shouldn't flop too :cheer: . She has a decent hit single and her name to support the album
