Managed to grab the last copy in Sainsburys this morning :funky:

On first listen it seems the first half is really strong but the second half is a little boring with most of the songs sounding pretty similar. Overall I'm really pleased with it though and I think it'll be a real grower over time.

'What The Hell' is at #20 and #211 on iTunes ^_^ I really hope the album version can sneak into the Top 100. I just want to see 'WTH' get to Top 20 in the UK :(

I got around to listening today, and as I thought, it's amazing. not as brilliant as 'the best damn thing' imo, but still miles better than what everyone was making it out to be.

highlights for me are 'what the hell' (obviously), 'push', 'smile' and 'goodbye', which in particular is stunning. I felt it.

I had a listen to this for the first time last night, but not all the way through as i fell asleep  its a good album on first impression, much better than i thought it would be, and also better than her last album :D

Japanese album sales:

*1 138,005 Koda Kumi

*2 135,410 Avril Lavigne

Avril was so close!

In a busy week for new albums, Mercury’s Noah & The Whale’s Last Night On Earth and RCA act Avril Lavigne’s Goodbye Lullaby are also likely to start in the Top 10 and at this stage of the week are ranked sixth and seventh respectively.

She's currently #7 in UK midweek. Hopefully her live lounge will help a bit . Not bad considering too much STRONG competitors (4 huge artists in UK) and her lead single doesn't do well there. Predicting a huge artist like Avril to debut somewhere like #28 is really hilarious :)

Hmm, I would suggest her album is more likely to fall than rise throughout the week :/

We shall see :)

I think it's normal. But she'll release the next single (I really hope it's WYWH) then she'll be fine. It's not like the album will be dead like Bionic without singles to support :)

On the whole I think I much prefer this album to 'Goodbye Lullaby', whilst no means perfect an improvement remains an improvement and it has a number of great tracks on it.

#7 in the UK whilst technically good feels rather damp compared to her previous 3 #1's it has to be said though. Theres something very damp and lifeless about this campaign it has to be said, RCA just dont seem bothered about it at all.

Listening to it for the first time, having just bought the deluxe, and I prefer it to The Best Damn Thing already. TBDT had it's good few but from what I've heard so far, GL is way ahead for me. Wish You Were Here (Acoustic) is just amazing!

Really like this album a lot more than I thought I would! 'Wish You Were Here' is one of my favourites and quickly becoming one of my all time favourite Avril tracks. Also I'm 99% sure that the What The Hell (Acoustic) uses the exact same vocals as the original track.
she deserves way more than a number 7 album with this, but oh well.
Is it just me that doesn't get all the love for 'Wish You Were Here'? Don't get me wrong it's a really good song, but i prefer 'Push.'

it's not my favourite on the album either. for me it's all about 'what the hell', 'push' and 'smile'.

Definately. I think I seen somewhere that 'Smile' is the next single? Good choice, but i hope 'Push' is a single at some point.

I don't either, it is a great song but I'm surprised how much people seem to like it above all the others. I love Stop Standing There atm.

Wish You Were Here (Acoustic) gives the song something more. I even love the What The Hell Acoustic too!

If I was to rank the songs from my favourite to least favourite it'd be; [Not counting 'Black Star' since its an intro

Wish You Were Here

Push

I Love You

What The Hell

Smile

Everybody Hurts

Darlin

4 Real

Remember When

Goodbye

Alice

Not Enough

 I'm OBSESSED with this album
