PS. As I watched this on my main TV (I have an upset stomach at the moment, so sitting at 90 degrees at my desktop PC is not very enjoyable at the moment ), I thought what Cheryl did to Daniel was the most contrived, fake, and nasty thing I have witnessed on the X-Factor since Sharon Osbourne's rant about Steve Brookstein (which simultaneously ensured his victory & killed his career at birth) from the first series final.

Anyone who still thinks that Max Clifford's (new Jade Goody) puppet is still the Nation's Sweetheart needs their brains testing IMHO. :puke:

The highlight of that hour was the X-box adverts featuring The Big Pink's Domino. Hopefully now it will become the hit it should have been in the first place.

I reckon the first act to leave next week will be Lloyd Daniels, I can't see the two twats falling at the first hurdle, give them a week or 2 hopefully they dig themselves a grave in Week 3.
This show is just so predictable, nearly everyone that got through has had a substantial amount of screen time, it happens every year. (obviously to get us to connect with them and willing to vote) The only group where everyone had been shown fairly equally is the overs.

I'm gonna put who I think will get through in bold and who I think has no chance of getting through in italics, based on screen time.

The Boys:

Duane Lamonte, Rikki Loney, Ethan Boroian, Joseph McElderry, Lloyd Daniels and Daniel Fox.

(Ethan could also make it, Joseph seems the most certain finalist)

The Girls:

Rachel Adedeji, Despina Pilavitaz, Stacey Solomon, Nicole Jackson, Lucie Jones and Stacey McClean.

(Stacey M is a maybe, but she hasn't been shown much. Nicole and Despina who?)

The Groups:

Kandy Rain, Tru Colourz, John and Edward, Miss Frank, Project A and De Tour.

(not sure between Kandy Rain and Project A, neither have had that much attention)

The Overs:

Jamie Archer, Nicole Lawrence, Treyc Cohen, Danyl Johnson, Olly Murs and Danyl Pearce

(toughest group, all could make it. but I reckon none of the girls will make it through with Simon)

So I make that 11/12 right then? :heehe: Really thought Daniel Pearce was going to make it over Jamie and Nicole is Daniel didn't get through.

Really gutted for Treyc, dunno where they get the 'no personality' thing, especially with some of the dire excuses for 'stories' the other contestants have. ('I come from a small town in Wales'/'I don't want to be a pub singer again'/'Single mum' :manson:) If that will do for the others, surely they could have found a 'selling point' for her? At least Nicole didn't take her place.

Cheryl gets a 0/3 from me. I didn't think much of Daniel's style, but he was arguably one of her strongest talents (and I think Will Young thought this too) and the way she did that "I'm not sure I've made the right decision...oh wait. yes I did, bye" was so harsh. Joseph was alright but Duane and Ethan especially were better than Lloyd.

Dannii made the perfect choices, Louis picked the vile John and Edward but, strategically, they'll get further than the three he sent home. (and probably Kandy Rain) :(

Nah they will get to week 6 or 7 I think

Cowell will bitch about them big time and him and Louis will argue and people will vote for them to p*** off Simon, we seen it last year with Daniel and previous with McDonald Brothers

Lloyd or Kandy Rain out next week I think

I quite fancy Olly to win, I think people will connect with him as the "underdog" in the category and could go further than the other 2 to Simon's dismay. Really not sure what music he will do though, really hope Simon doesn't make him a dated crooner, I get this impression.

Well... if the two twats do end up in the bottom 2 along with a good act, the other 3 judges will boot them off. :D

Im really not sure if the Lloyd first out prediction is going to be correct. Of all 3 of Cheryl's Boys he seems to be the one with the most teenage girl support, from what I can tell anyway.

I think its pretty clear Kandy Rain will be first out. Unless we get a miracle of course and those 2 twats are in the bottom 2. Theres absoultly no support for them at all. I dont think there was any hatred on this sort of level for Daniel last year was there? Seriously you should see some of the facebook statuses about them. Im rather worried for their safety lmao.

I agree. I cant see Lloyd going anywhere.

Kandy Rain will be the favs to go.

I hope we dont have a shock Laura style exit this year. If we do my money would be on Stacey or Lucie to be the one to go :(

The "Laura/Austin style shock" I reckon will go to either Danyl or Jamie IMO. There'll be only so much the public can take of these two being in the same shows as one another.

Totally agree! What she did was beyond cruel. If she really did have those feelings of 'am I doing the right thing' she could have done it off-camera. Faked! Faked! Faked! The only judge in this I'm having ANY respect for (and believe me ... it ain't much) is Louis Walsh. At least he got his answers out really quick ... no tears welling up in eyes, no 'I'm so sorry' to the losers and then a much leaping about the place screaming 'you're through'. And no sitting higher up than his 'subjects' the way Simon was sitting on his throne with his subjects lo-ing before him!

I so hope John and Edward go all the way. Even though they are crap! This whole bloody show is crap!

Rant over!

Harpers Island was good tonight!

Norma

Does anybody know if the Sunday show is pre recorded on the Saturday night, or is it really live on Sunday?

If it's pre recorded I expect the results will leak out late on Saturday night like Strictly's used to :)

Agreed, think Rikki might be the one to go home first, he reminds me of Scott Bruton from last year. He didn't get very far. Plus, Lloyd has the Welsh thing going from him and everyone knows that being from somewhere in the UK other than England is a big selling point. He's also a bit nervous and could get the 'aww bless' vote like Leon did, remember his first few live show performances?

Lucie will get the Welsh vote though

Shoat's views;

- Cheryl was a c**t tonight. The way she was with Poundland-Rhydian was cruel, she had plenty of time to make up her mind. And having watched the Xtra Factor, I noticed that she was the least "connected" with her chosen group. The other 3 judges all seemed quite happy to be seen with their choices; Cheryl looked troubled to even be breathing the same air as hers.

And also Ethan >>> Wet Joe.

Hopefully Wet Joe will have his teenage girl fanbase eaten into by Lloyd, and he will be heading home pronto.

- Dannii was surplus to requirements in the auditions process, but seemed to come into her own here. She was the only judge who I think made 3/3 right choices. And she looked MARVELLOUS in that floor-length dress.

- Simon Cowell shot himself in the foot having both Afroman and Danyl - I think they will both be appealing to the same people and will split their vote. I think Tracy would have been a better bet.

- Louis continues to make an absolute mockery of himself. I could maybe see his point in that entertainment value counts for just as much as singing ability...but where Chico and the like succeeded, they did because they were essentially likable characters. Is Louis really stupid enough to think that is going to happen for those Irish twits? How prophetic was Cheryl when she told the lads "it's a yes from Louis" on hearing they were from Dublin, back in their first audition.

However I actually think it will be Candy Rain out first - girlbands don't do well on X Factor. Girlband anyone?

My thoughts:

Cheryl had probably the weakest category so she really shot herself in the foot with her choices. I truly cannot fathom why she didn't put Duane through. His performance of 'Closer' was a bit off but we know he can pull off a brilliant vocal and his second perf shown on Xtra Factor was much more impressive. Somehow I knew it was coming though. Perhaps even more baffling was her decision not to put Ethan through; he gave the best performance by far. His vocal was so versatile and understated, effortless. I think she thought that because he wasn't a sniveller he wasn't passionate about being there. Her mistake though because there's no chance in hell that she has a winner on her hands. Lloyd will go farthest because he's cheeky and likeable, like Eoghan without the revolting factor, but he won't make the final four or five.

Louis I actually thought did a good job with his choices. Obviously Miss F.R.A.N.K. were going through; they were utterly sensational and I think they've got an even better chance of winning than JLS had (whether it would have actually benefitted JLS to win in the long run is another story though). Kandy Rain were the next-best despite being slightly faceless. I did like how they promised 'to keep our clothes on!'. As for the twin(k)s, at least they're a talking point, a love/hate figure (loved by the braindead teenage girls welcoming puberty, hated by everybody else). They'll have enough avid fans to carry them through a few rounds so it made sense, despite how appalling they are. Harmony Hood gave one of the worst judges' home perfomances I've ever seen!

Simon really messed up by not putting Treyc through. I think she was the most marketable over-25 ever; she didn't look her age, she didn't have vocals that were old-school and likely to alienate young voters and she actually had a personality. I truly believe he wanted a sob story and she didn't have one to give/fabricate. Danyl and Jamie are both nice enough guys (seemingly) but neither are going to sell records, especially not Jamie. It did bug me how he'd obviously been told to say that he'd be gutted to go back to small pub/club gigs; pretty disrespectful to anybody who's ever paid to see him perform. He's too much a karaoke singer anyway. Olly is being pushed as a 'laddish' type but he seems very cold and not at all likeable. He'll go early on. Danyl will do the best for Simon but he won't win.

Dannii had the best category and made the best choices. Stacey's personality might divide opinion (like a less severe Diana) but she's a bloody good singer. Rachel is my personal favourite as the most complete artist to go into the final twelve; she seems to have a real sense of herself, the image she wants to project etc. I was glad to see that post-makeover she retained a fabulous hairstyle. She's also got flawless vocals. I'd love her to win but I get the sense that the voters on the whole won't entirely 'get' her, a little like Ruth last year. Lucie is going to make the final three I reckon, potentially even win if she carries on giving performances as strong as she has been. She's very mouldable, like Leona with a little more personality.

Early prediction for final three: Lucie (winner), Danyl and Miss F.R.A.N.K. I reckon Kandy Rain, Rikki or Olly will be out first.

Just watched Trayc on TV this morning. Simon definitely made a mistake ... not only was she a good singer ... she comes across incredibly well in interviews. She would have needed no coaching in the PR stakes.

Stacey McClean really reminds me of someone but i dunno who

shes a plastic, dyed straightend hair, orange spray tan, whitened teeth... :puke2: shes got a really good facial bone structure and should be really beautiful, but alas is a victim of the plastic culture who transformed herself into just another wag wannabe... :( pity shes out but ultimately she wasnt good enough.... never mind, frankie and rochelle will be joining her and the others in obscurity soon..

i LOVE stacey solomon... her dipsy, carefree, happy-go-lucky attitude to the contest is endearing...

I like most of the people picked in the top 12. although I would have loved Stacey McClean in the girls rather than Stacy S

but I think Simons is $h!t, Jamie and Olly are very overrated even though I guarentee they are both top 5, Tracy should have been in the finals!

I see it being Lucie V Jamie Afro in the final atm
