October 15, 201014 yr I contacted Cineworld by e-mail last night, they've replied saying that they plan to open booking for Pt.1 next Friday (22nd Oct). I'll be off to the cinema straight away to get my tickets :D
October 22, 201014 yr Been to fetch my tickets tonight. 8:15pm, on the first Saturday. It's in one of the three biggest screens (the biggest three are all the same size), but it's not in what I'd consider the 'main' screen (the one straight ahead from where you have your tickets checked). What could be showing at the same weekend, which they would consider to be a bigger movie? <_<
October 27, 201014 yr I'll be seeing it in the afternoon on the first day at the BFI IMAX in London :D
November 6, 201014 yr Booked my ticket for the first (9am) screening on the day it's officially out! :D Going with my gurlfrnzzz as we have a training day. ^_^
November 7, 201014 yr Is it really out on the 19th over there? I'm seeing it on the 18th. Would have thought the UK would be first to get it.
November 7, 201014 yr The more I see the trailer on TV, the more desperate I become to see this :( 12 days seems too far away
November 9, 201014 yr Excited doesn't even begin to cover how excited I am. I've been watching behind the scenes featurettes and scenes etc... Very excited! :w00t:
November 12, 201014 yr The Guardian gives it 2 stars: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/nov/11...-hallows-review *que biased loons who will complain at this and claim it's the best film this year just cos they bum it rather than critique the filmmaking*
November 13, 201014 yr The Guardian gives it 2 stars: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/nov/11...-hallows-review *que biased loons who will complain at this and claim it's the best film this year just cos they bum it rather than critique the filmmaking* "Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Imelda Staunton and Helena Bonham Carter flit between the scenes with the satisfied air of jobbing actors who have been offered walk on roles at the world's most expensive fancy dress ball." Stopped reading.
November 13, 201014 yr My local Odeon has recently converted their biggest screen to IMAX. Made me actually jizz, not only am I going to break my IMAX-virginity with Deathly Hallows, they are also re-showing Inception and Toy Story 3 and other summer films (including the extended Avatar) to showcase it. So totally going to watch Inception for the third time then  Also, at the Guardian review, the series has never really been critically acclaimed (I think critics wise, Prisoner of Azkaban got the best reviews, while Half-Blood Prince was praised, quite heavily in fact, for its cinematography). As far as I can tell from sneak peeks, trailers, behind the scenes etc the writing, sense of humour, and acting seem about on par with the other films in the series, clearly it's not going to win any new fans. To me the Harry Potter films are events, it's literally my childhood on screen, there is no way in hell I will be missing this. The only film in the series I saw in the cinema and thought negatively of after leaving was Goblet of Fire. It was so poorly edited it is virtually unwatchable. EDIT: Empire has given it 3 stars http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/review.asp?FID=134946 Edited November 13, 201014 yr by Daniel II
November 13, 201014 yr I am so pumped for this shizniz. Tickets booked, time off work being arranged. The end of Harry Potter is like the end of my childhood </3
November 14, 201014 yr The Mirror gives it 5 stars. http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/columnists/...15875-22715449/
