April 10, 201015 yr Am i THAT out of touch with the BBC that i had no clue this was on today? #flopmod I knew this was coming soon but i didnt realise it was now! I saw him on Jonathan Ross a few weeks ago and thats all the promo ive seen for it tbh  Ha, there's been two episodes Joah! :P
April 10, 201015 yr  I really enjoyed it, possibly more than last weeks episode. I thought it was really good ^_^
April 10, 201015 yr I thought it was bland and boring. A lot more could have been made of the selection process of feeding the whale before getting to the conclusion. Nothing actually really happened in the episode, I can't help but feel it was a bit pointless and the small amount of plot development wasn't really explained. I also don't like the way that the first two episodes have had the Doctor send Amy off on her own on some task of his, it spoils any potential character development between the two. Plus I echo what others have said, general urgh at the daleks returning next week. :(
April 10, 201015 yr Ha, there's been two episodes Joah! :P OH GOD. Well looks like im doing some catch up with the iplayer André :(
April 10, 201015 yr Anyone notice the crack at the end Yes, but I didn't think it'd be relevant, but come to think of it, it seems so! :o
April 11, 201015 yr Author A strange episode I must admit, but I still enjoyed it for what it was - desptie the plot holes. I was quite excited about Sophie Okonedo but felt she was wasted in that role tbh. I thought Matt and Karen were fantastic again though. Nice to see a bit of continuation with the phonecall at the end. Not thrilled about Daleks but oh well, get their episode over and done with before episode 4 and 5 with River Song and the Weeping Angels Oh and that crack on the spaceship is clearly important! First Amy's wall, then the screen in the tardis and now on Starship UK!
April 11, 201015 yr Whilst I hate to say this but I think this episode has started to show that Matt Smith lacks the acting gravitas of his two predecessors in the role. 5/10 ...... and groan at Winston Churchill with Daleks next week. pretty much what i said last week, smith isnt as charismatic as tennant. indeed, a massive groan at the daleks.... yawn.... i liked the storyline getting more or less off earth, and in the furture, started interesting then litterally lost the plot...
April 11, 201015 yr Oh and that crack on the spaceship is clearly important! First Amy's wall, then the screen in the tardis and now on Starship UK! When was this???? Please tell me I must have missed it
April 11, 201015 yr Matt Smith is CERTAINLY better than the dour Christopher Eccleston in the role. Not better than David Tennant but that's too much to ask. He's proving himself to be very decent, as is Karen. I didn't like the episode much though - not an awful lot to hold the attention and a few too many distractions in the hope of the viewer not realising it had a crap plot. As Ryan said though I'd rather these episodes getting us familiar with the characters were got out of the way first, so long as there aren't many of them.
April 11, 201015 yr You guys do realise there are always themes running through series yeh? The crack is clearly one, it's just being made all too obvious.
April 11, 201015 yr You guys do realise there are always themes running through series yeh? The crack is clearly one, it's just being made all too obvious. This. Series 1 (of the 'modern' era) was Bad Wolf, Series 2 was Torchwood, Series 3 was Saxon and 4 was the disappearing planets. All of them led to the series finale too (actually Torchwood didn't )
April 11, 201015 yr You guys do realise there are always themes running through series yeh? The crack is clearly one, it's just being made all too obvious. Yes we do.
April 11, 201015 yr Episode 2 really wasnt up too much was it? The plot was weak and we were given some half-arsed explination at the end with about a billion plot-holes, mistakes and unanswered questions. After quite a good series opener I am very dissapointed. Next week looks like something that will either work wonderfully or the complete opposite
April 11, 201015 yr This. Series 1 (of the 'modern' era) was Bad Wolf, Series 2 was Torchwood, Series 3 was Saxon and 4 was the disappearing planets. All of them led to the series finale too (actually Torchwood didn't ) Torchwood did :o
April 11, 201015 yr yes but what does the crack entail. It is a crack in time and space or something. It will probably lead to either the Daleks or Cybermen :(
April 11, 201015 yr Torchwood did :o Did it? :o Was that the one where Rose went into the parallel universe due to the Cybermen invasion? If so, then of course it did! DUH at me.
April 11, 201015 yr It is a crack in time and space or something. It will probably lead to either the Daleks or Cybermen :( god I hope not.
