Oh right, I get you now. I thought you meant both their current singles didn't deserve it haha. :heehee:

Ah I get you now.

Although I think Boom Boom Pow and Number 1 were just as worthy of the number one as I Gotta Feeling and Never Leave You are.

Tinchy should quite easily now become the third act to get two #1s this year after Lady GaGa and The Black Eyed Peas. Calvin Harris (I'm Not Alone + Ready For The Weekend/Holiday), Dizzee Rascal (Bonkers + Holiday) and Amelle Berrabah (Never Leave You + Get Sexy) could bring up that count to six. How high will it get this year?

If that happens, then that must be a record for this year. :o

I doubt it.

(Goes to do a bit of research.) ;)

Best Year of the Decade for artists with more than 1 UK#1s is (I think) 2000 with 8:

Westlife: I Have A Dream/Seasons In The Sun, Fool Again, Against All Odds, My Love

Britney Spears: Born to Make You Happy, Oops!... Did It Again

All Saints: Pure Shores, Black Coffee

Madonna: American Pie, Music

Melanie C: Never Be The Same Again, I Turn to You

Craig David: Fill Me In, 7 Days

Eminem: The Real Slim Shady, Stan

A1: Take On Me, Same Old Brand New You

Edits: 2001 matches it with 8 as well:

Daniel Beddingfield, S Club 7, Atomic Kitten, Shaggy, Westlife, Hear'say, Robbie Williams & Blue.

Calvin won't get it, RFTW is good but not number one material.

But Calvin is also featured on 'Holiday', which I reckon is a cert.

I only pointed out FRTW because if itsomehow does go to #1, it is possible he could get three #1s this year (and knock himself off #1!)

Cheers for that, sir.

The #1 there I don't like from 2000, was the one and only... 7 Days. :puke2:

Well, we may have more multi-number one artists. Pixie Lott could have a small chance. Colby O'Donis might be featured on another huge smash. And Akon too. JLS' second single could top the chart. And what about David Guetta, he's a possibility, and Alexandra Burke is probably a cert.

The record might be broken, you never know.

Calvin Harris isn't featured on Holiday, he doesn't sing on it he only produced it. That's like saying RedOne has had two #1's this year.
Was it confirmed that Calvin Harris is not featured in the song though?

Holiday is a collab between Dizzee and Calvin though, and it is acknowledged as a collab between the two from what I've heard on the radio, which is what makes it different from RedOne's productions...

well he doesn't sing.

It's Dizzee Rascal feat. Chrome - Holiday (Produced By Calvin Harris)

people are only "accidentally" saying Calvin is featured due to the success of their collab on Dance Wiv Me, this then hypes the song up a bit more in the hope of it being a bigger success than it would be.

Nope in an interview at T4 On The Beach with Dizzee, Miquita(sp?) Oliver said "You've got a new single called Holiday out and it's another collaboration with Calvin Harris" and Dizzee replied "yeah he produced it". To me that seems like Calvin is not a featured artist but is just the producer of the song.

Ah, okay. I see. In the (no longer official?) artwork it credited Calvin on the cover (albeit as a producer). The new 'official' cover doesn't credit Chrome though, which leads me to believe it may not be official...

Still, this point will be irrelevant if RFTW gets #1 :P

So technically it really is Dizzee ft. Chrome. Still, I'll include Calvin in my personal chart. :P
Alphabeat's Fascination back up to #238, read that it's in a fizzy drink advert ATM.

That's ridiculous! Armand Van Helden doesnt sing and he was featured on Bonkers.

If that's the case, 95% of dance artists would never be credited on their own songs as most of them dont sing on them... David Guetta being a good example.
