October 13, 200915 yr Not surprised. They need to come back here and do more promo other than Lottery which draws what? 1million viewers nowadays? :(
October 13, 200915 yr deserved flop, rubbish single :( I remember being laughed out of the thread for daring to suggest it would miss the top 40  I saw the MTV live session the other day though and Natalie really is an excellent live vocalist, very underrated
October 13, 200915 yr Truly deserved flop, hopefully this doesn't hinder the excellent 'Fever'. Seriously, what the hell were they thinking releasing this? It was so obviously a terrible choice...
October 13, 200915 yr It wasn't that bad of a choice, it's not the worst on the album either - Hold On and Ready Or Not would've been far worse of choices! Fever and Everytime I Hear Your Name should/should've been the 2nd and 3rd singles though, they would've made this era as huge as the Everytime We Touch era if they were released that instead of Dangerous.
October 13, 200915 yr Hold On is my favourite on the album behind Evacuate The Dancefloor but would have been a disaster of a single  not as big a disaster as Dangerous though, it's catchy at least I thought Ready Or Not was something of a fan favourite too :o
October 13, 200915 yr ^ That's my point, they've just opened up appeal to a much more broader market with ETD - which has been probably their only proper global hit so far. So with that came a whole new sound to Cascada, releasing fan-favourites and the old Cascada styled tracks was definitely not going to go down well in the first place but if they released Fever which is spot-on with their new sound it would've been a completely different story! Any of the songs were going to struggle to sell well as a 2nd single after the huge and extremely suprising 1st. Fever could redeem them in the UK though, its rising rapidly on iTunes in some of the Euro countries at the moment.
October 13, 200915 yr I think Everytime We Touch was a global hit too. Dangerous is just dated now, was a very bad move to release it as a single. I think they wanted to make sure they have a minor hit but in the end it backfired.
October 13, 200915 yr 'Breathless' is EASILY the most commercial and most obvious hit on the album imo. It's a watered down Dr Luke/Max Martin sound, but it's so good. I also think it's about time they released a ballad, like a proper ballad and not their remix of one ('Truly, Madly, Deeply') 'Hold Your hands Up' would have been a nice winter-y ballad release . They should have gone (IMO): 1. 'Evacuate the Dancefloor' 2. 'Breathless' 3. 'Hold Your Hands Up' 4. 'Fever' ---END.---
October 14, 200915 yr Everytime I Hear Your Name would be a much better ballad choice, it's far superior to HYHU IMO. HYHU is very album-trackish and uncommercial where ETIHYN is the opposite. Breathless would've been the perfect 3rd single though, it is very commercial and very new-Cascada-y. IMO they should've gone: 1. Evacuate The Dancefloor 2. Fever 3. Breathless 4. Everytime I Hear Your Name
August 22, 20213 yr Interesting choice of single to remix really. I'd have expected something like Miracle or What Hurts The Most, but I'm here for it. Lmao at the shade in this thread. I understand that 3 albums in, this sound on the original perhaps would've been dated, especially when Evacuate The Dancefloor was so different, but I guess they were trying to cling onto that signature sound.
