Seriously the charts this year are a pile of sh*t! OK so sales are up..(singles anyway, I havn't had the urge to buy ONE single album this year, its not that I don't want to its just well...look for yourself)

Let me set this straight, Gaga is good, one of the only orginal, welcome acts of this year, a true 'pop star' in the classic sense. But on the other hand, the constant returns to No.1 by 'no marks' like Tinchy Strider...(will he be around in 10 years time I ask??) acts like FLO RIDA??! CASCADA???!!! and don't get me started about Calvin Harris, a guy that has about as much charisma as a concrete breeze block, and fancies himself as some kind of DJ GOD. HAHA! and whats round the corner?? Simon Cowell's annual line up of pre-planded No.1s (co-insiding with an appearence on a certain saturday night talent show) Susan Boyle No.1 for 6 weeks anyone???

Personal taste

I have liked this years chart a whole lot better then recent years. A lot more unpredictable which is good

Thanks for doing the update, Kath. :)

Anyway, is there a physical release date yet for the Drake track in UK (I hope it doesn't though, LOL)?

Hopefuly not. The charts are bad enough with $h!t like Jeremih, Black Eyed Peas, Pitbull, Calvin Harris and now this overrated ear rape "Sexy Bitch" all doing well. The UK sure adores low class chavdisco music

The only thing I don't like going Top 40 personally is the Jeremih track.

Haven't heard the other Pitbull track, but I hope it isn't rubbish.

Dance is doing so well this year. :o

Sexy B**** 4 #1! 2nd best song of the year - after Poker Face obv.

I completley agree with you. Jeremih is the worst by far, but Calvin Harris, Pitbull and Sexy Bitch are all poor. It's been a pretty low quality string of #1's for me.

Lady GaGa can literally do no wrong at the moment can she? :o

:o Kelly fell from 60-something to 90-something in a DAY?! Bloody weekend :(

..... And the 2009 prize for the best single by an artist followed up with a track that is hideous ear rape goes to ...................

David Guetta

both of them are awful, overrated and I have no clue why they're in the chart. seriously, I just listened to sexy bsh and it's awful, but not as bad as when love takes over.

this is atrocious.

Wow. Just Jack's coming out of nowhere :o Another 'Sticks 'N' Stones'?
So if David Guetta does get number 1, he'll be the 4th act this year to have 2 number 1's, and then Dizzee may get another which he will share will Calvin, making it 6! :o
come on little boots, get back to 6... I'm buying rmedy again just to make sure ;).
