Even though I might not see the appeal as much as everyone else seems too, I can see it definately making the Top 5/10

I predicted it Top 10 as there is loads of hype around it - the people who love it, absolutely love it to bits, I can see it picking up big points.

I predicted 'Stay the Night' to go top 10, only because everyone is licking it's arse. I too don't really get the appeal either :(

I love the song, have done since I first heard it back in February (!?!) and still do now, but I'm not claiming it to be the new messiah or anything :heehee: it's a great pop song, that's all (in my opinion)

 

it's so anthemic and will easily go top ten, although I don't know how many people will have been introduced to it via the contest, most of it's die hard fans will have known and loved the song for months...hopefully it will do well though, for 2 reasons;

 

1) Eurovision rejects are not some disease and we need at least one to do well!

2) host entries never garner such hype :kink:

there have been very few winners/top 3's that haven't either received backlash or comments like 'it's overrated', 'why's it doing so well', 'it's awful' etc...

 

it's obviously going to happen in a contest with 50+ contestants who all have vastly different music tastes :lol: and if 4 or 5 negative comments about a song constitutes a backlash, there are still 45 who might like it!

I don't want to be negative, but ignoring the merits of the song:

 

What message would it send out if Mini Viva won BJSC XIX with a song heavily played on Radio 1; and numerous music video channels = Hardly a positive advert for the contest with regards to discovering unknown music is it?
