We're all missing Biffy Clyro! :( They'll be BIG with 'That Golden Rule'

Oooh yes! I'd love Biffy to finally reach #1!

I think it may just fall short though. :(

OMG, totally forgot about Biffy :o

Revised predictions for the next few weeks:

1 Guetta, 2 BEP

1 Dizzee, 2 Guetta, 3 BEP, 4 Biffy

1 Dizzee, 2 Sugas, 3 Guetta, 4 Biffy, 5 BEP

1&2 Dizzee or Mika, 3 Pixie, 4 Guetta, 5 Sugababes, 6 Biffy

1 Madonna, 2 Dizzee, 3&4 Mika/Sugababes, 5 Biffy, 6 Guetta, 7 Pixie

1 Madonna, 2 Dizzee, 3 Shakira, 4 Mika, 5 Biffy, 6 Sugababes, 7 Guetta, 8 Pixie

It's really gonna be all the songs in almos teh same order but pushed down 1 or 2 places each week by new releases... or that's what I predict anyway, I'm probably wildly off

Edited by B-rye

31st Aug

Dizzee Rascal & Calvin Harris – Holiday (#1 the previous week as it will be downloadable in 24th August)

Jay-Z with Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

Sugababes – Get Sexy

7th Sep

Mika - We Are Golden

Mini Viva – Left My Heart In Tokyo

Muse – Uprising

Pixie Lott – Boys And Girls (could be still Dizzee)

Preston – Dressed To Kill

14th Sep

Basshunter – Every Morning

Madonna – Celebration

21st Sep

Aqua – Back To The 80s

Lady Gaga - LoveGame

Shakira – She Wolf

Not sure between the three above atm.

I'm excited for all the new releases but none of them really scream 'deserved no1' for me :(

I'd like to think Biffy, Muse, Mika & Shakira would get it but I'm thinking the last two will as Dizzee Rascal and Madonna are bound to be #1. I despise 'Holiday'. So weak and awful. I really want it to miss no1 but it won't.

I don't see Holiday being bigger than Bonkers was. I just don't think there is anyway near as much hype but it will be #1 for a week with about 70-80k sales.

from the ones you used:

31st Aug

01 Dizzee Rascal & Calvin Harris – Holiday

07 Jay-Z with Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

02 Sugababes – Get Sexy

7th Sep

02 Mika - We Are Golden

03 Mini Viva – Left My Heart In Tokyo

09 Muse – Uprising

12 Pixie Lott – Boys And Girls

60 Preston – Dressed To Kill

14th Sep

05 Basshunter – Every Morning

01 Madonna – Celebration

21st Sep

35 Aqua – Back To The 80s

06 Lady Gaga - LoveGame

01 Shakira – She Wolf

Others

03 The Saturdays - Forever Is Over

25 Whitney Houston – Million Dollar Bill

02 Robbie Williams - Bodies

02 JLS – Everybody In Love

07 Cascada – Dangerous

01 Sugababes – About A Girl

Muse are definitely going #1. Or, at the very least, a strong top 3.

The Rihanna/Jay-Z/KanYe collab won't be too big in the UK, as it has a too strong urban feel.

I don't think Mika stands a chance of getting #1! Possibly the strangest, weakest, stupid comeback I've ever witnessed.

Dizzee will easily block Sugas. They're song isn't going to sell the huge amounts you're predicting--it's weak as baby $h!t & everybody knows it.

I can't see Shakira or Pixie being HUGE... though 'Boys & Girls' could see a high-charting first week.

I don't understand why people think Whitney will flop. I think it will be a constantly big seller and with all the X Factor promotion could go to Number 1 at the end of September. She has a lot of more mature fans who will buy it.
I have now heard a lot of Sharon Corr's new solo stuff and I think it is brilliant! Her INAD might well top the chart. It went straight on to the Radio Two playlist and is all over Irish radio as well as Uk. Remember U2 went on to the B list. INAD is the second biggest jumper on airplay from #300 odd to #41 AFTER ONE WEEK. I read a lot of you doubters here on this forum but remember, she WROTE some of The Corrs biggest hits...So Young, Radio, a lot of the trad stuff. Her Rebel Heart track was nominated for a Grammy and they have sold over 35 MILLION albums! Her solo album will be THE talking point of 2010. She will surprise us all.

Err, no, Sharon will flop...

That airplay jump doesn't necessarily mean anything, the same happened with Athlete - Superhuman Touch and it's still flopping pretty much...

I agree.

Plus there's no sign of a video shoot yet and there is only weeks to go until the release.

What pre-release chart are Sugababes No 1 on?! Everyone I know hates the song. So I find it VERY difficult to believe more people want to own it than Holiday or Celebration. And I know both those tracks sound like they could be by Madonna, but in fact only the second one is ;)

Future Top 10 hits IMHO:

24th Aug

#3 Biffy Clyro - That Golden Rule

#6 David Guetta ft Estelle - One Love (to do a Viva La Vida album track = huge hit effect)

#1 Dizzee Rascal & Calvin Harris – Holiday

31st Aug

#4 Jay-Z with Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

#1 Sugababes – Get Sexy

7th Sep

#9 Mika - We Are Golden

#1 Mini Viva – Left My Heart In Tokyo

#4 Muse – Uprising

#5 Pixie Lott – Boys And Girls

14th Sep

#6 Basshunter – Every Morning

#9 Cliff Richard & The Shadows - Singing The Blues

#1 Madonna – Celebration

#8 Taio Cruz – Break Your Heart

21st Sep

#10 Lady Gaga - LoveGame

#4 Shakira – She Wolf

#5 The Veronicas - 4Ever

28th Sep

#10 Deadmau5 feat Rob Swire – Ghosts N Stuff

#8 La Roux - I'm Not Your Toy

#5 Natalie Imbruglia – Want

5th Oct

#5 Mr Hudson – White Lies

#2* (*Guess: No idea until I've heard it) The Saturdays - Forever Is Over

12th Oct

#1* (*Guess: No idea until I've heard it) Robbie Williams - Bodies

19th Oct

#1* (*Guess: No idea until I've heard it) JLS – Everybody In Love

Subject to change, etc.....

I think Mr Hudson could get the #1 Supernova deserved with his next release, and the album will go to #1...

Oh and I didn't realise Forever Is Over is the lead single from album 2 :o

I change my prediction from flop to top 2. Not sure if it'll get to #1.

I thought this thread was actually about Autumn tracks when I originally posted. I was wrong.

24 - Dizzee

31 - Dizzee or Sugababes

7 - Dizzee, Pixie or Mini Viva

14 - Madonna

21 - Madonna or Shakira

Dizzee Rascal & Calvin Harris - Holiday

Jay-Z with Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

Sugababes - Get Sexy

Mika - We Are Golden (possibly, from what i'e heard I dont like it, but he sold bucket loads of his previous album, so could well sell on hype)

Madonna - Celebration

Shakira - She Wolf (She either seems to get flops or massive hits - so 50/50 with this one)

Robbie Williams - Bodies (He will be on X-Factor which will probably help, however I can see this either being massive or a bit of a flop especially after the last album kinda bombed)

JLS - Everybody In Love

I can see the above all possibly reaching the top spot... I'm not too sure about the Saturdays, especially after Work and the fact that I Just Can't Get Enough - which should've easily got to number 1 with the amount of promotion it got stalled at 2. I guess it will depend on the amount of airplay they get.

I can't see Muse or Biffy getting to the top spot, no matter what they release as they will peak after the 1st couple of days and then drop - they will sell masses of albums though.

Edited by ElectroBoy

I would be absolutely thrilled if Biffy got #1 next week, but Dizzee is unstoppable.

Also, watch out for The Big Pink's 'Dominos' on 13th Sep - I can see that being big.

Edited by B-rye

I think a lot of people will be surprised with Muse, I can see them getting a KoL reign on the charts.
Madonna should get to no1, but cant see Shakira doing very well and I doubt Pixie Lott will repeat the same success neither.
