Pavel, I understand what you're saying, and have absolutely no problem with that. But I think you're quibbling my words :D

Maybe I wasn't too correct or understandable with my opinion :D

 

TBH (and replying also to Gooddelta) I've never seen any negative comments (negative means here: the post itself have a negative feeling, not the content: for example negative feeling: "what a $h!t semi", negative content: "this and that song is not the strongest from this artist") from you or Ben or Rich. I meant those posts that are fool of negative feelings in general (what I wrote above). That makes me feel I have a $h!t taste. That makes me 1. thinking about quitting the contest, 2. searching for music I don't like but could appeal to everyone just to show that I'm as good as everyone else. This is the sweet lie imo.

 

What you wrote is totally OK. And I never said you should say to someone that a song is good, if it's not. Just there is a difference that you say, your songchoice is crap or your song is not the best of this artist. There is no sweet lies. About bitching: You can easily bitch around with the guys you know, but there are also other members, newer members, who can misunderstand that ;)

BTW those posts I refer, are not "bitching around" posts.

I've had 75% of the songs entered that didn't cause ANY of good (and ANY) feedback (or just one person who claimed their like to it at a max) so even giving myself as an example, I hardly care if people say my song's $h!t. I love it - it's what i should know. And that's all. If some people like it too - then it's a bonus. You can't please everyone. If you try more harder to find a song that you love and might do well in BJSC you will succeed eventually, I tell you. Just have me as an example - 2 wins/3 top 2's. How on Earth I still wonder :lol: Bottom 6 most of the time and 3 DNQ's in the last 5 contests but i do not really care. People Trash tell my taste is $h!t, it's only my business, if I like music with cats scratching their talons (or whatever word is appropriate here) at a blackboard - noone else can make me dislike it or to make feel ashamed about me liking it. For instance, I bummed Sam Sparro, Adele, Flobots and Little Jackie with Marilyn Manson some time ago. So what?

 

It's all about new music. Everything else is a bonus. :D

In case you're wondering why I never post my points rundowns, I tend to rate things ridiculously high (over half of each semi got 9 or more from me, though I do have a couple of 10.5s, more in the first semi actually) and then just shuffle it around till it feels right :kink:
