I don't even get excited by mids anymore  I complained charts were too fast 5 years ago but they've down to the point that I'll only have to tune in every two months to actually notice any change. Especially as no.1 seems reserved for only certain artists these days (Dizzie, BEPs, Tinchy and Guetta)

Looking at the list of all Luther's entries, I'm ashamed to admit that the only songs I really remember from it are his duets with Mariah and Janet... Although I've been following the charts for 15 years now, his songs seem to be somehow quite forgettable for me. I even completely forgot the "Dance With My Father" tune. Maybe it's because it's nothing special...

Anyway, I love Pixie's track  good she's back!

I use to hear on dance radios Luther's version of Shine which is pretty good imo. And it was released before Booty Luv. I didn't know that :o

If Dizzee gets number one this week who was the last act to get three consecutive number ones

Westlife!

17/3/01 - Uptown Girl - 1 week

17/11/01 - Queen Of My Heart - 1 week

02/3/02 - World of Our Own - 1 week

however Westlife's record is 7 consecutive number 1s

01/05/1999 Swear It Again - 2 weeks

21/08/1999 If I Let You Go - 1 week

30/10/1999 Flying Without Wings - 1 week

25/12/1999 I Have A Dream/Seasons In The Sun - 4 weeks

08/04/2000 Fool Again - 1 week

24/09/2000 - Against All Odds (with Mariah Carey) - 2 weeks

11/11/2000 My Love 1 week

The summer is always like this. From September on it will be faster imo. This happened too last year.

Budapest is indeed a beautiful city. Do you live there, Ben?

I'm thinking to come back there soon :P

About time to start skipping Keri Hilson and Jordin Sparks - both so overrated.

T.I. & the unique Mary J. Blige sound really not bad together. :)

Finally back from my hols... sorry I'm a bit late guys

Poker Face evidently gone... but good for Clvin holding, La Roux still in, Luther being #38, etc. etc.

And T.I. Was expecting a total flop, but #34 isn't too bad seeing as his firearms crime would have alienated some of his fans or something.

Lol @ KoL back. #33 higher than expected for this week actually. Top 10 next week?

His best tbh. It seems he can only sell with Rihanna and JT on his tracks.

33  (from 49) Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire [P]

Though Tennessee's Kings of Leon are a rock band from the south, that doesn't mean they're a Southern Rock band. The Followill brothers Caleb, Jared, and Nathan (along with their cousin Matthew) play a straight-ahead, hard-driving brand of rock & roll that owes more to Crazy Horse and the Rolling Stones than it does to Molly Hatchet. Their debut album, 2003's YOUTH & YOUNG MANHOOD showed them to be an earthier equivalent to garage-rock contemporaries like the White Stripes and the Strokes. - HMV

I dont get how Poker Face is out the top 40. Its been between #35 and #39 for the past week on itunes chart. Plus In For The Kill has been around #50 on itunes all week and thats #39! Wierd.
She played this twice yesterday, i think?

Yes I live in Budapest, born there living there now :D

OH. MY. GOD. Scratch what I said before. The 'change' every 2 months is a change back. Sex On Fire? Really?
Immortal song! which week in the Top 40? :D

I think Luther probably just doesn't get played very much these days. I'm surprised how many #1s he's had! I can only remember Never Too Much.. vaguely.

Thanks. So if Dizzee does it today it will be quite special as no-one has done it for 8 years

Poker Face is the 15th Biggest selling song of the 21st Century, I aint suprised it's out. Think its spent more weeks in top 75 than the 14 songs ahead of it :)

I was gonna say it's amazing how quickly Sex On Fire re-entered but I suppose if it was still at 49 last week anyway it isn't that shocking is it
