I can't believe Ariel Pink is there. That only makes me more tempted to send John Maus.

it is going to be my mission of 2013 to crack FSR Rontiva and get me some juicy gooddelta points. it can be done.

So happy to see a Daehunese entry there! Glad you enjoyed IU that much Rich! :D

It can easily be done! I always vote for at least a handful of alternative/hipster entries, Aeroche racked up 18 points from me this year!

It definitely grew on me over time, I should have given it far more than I did in its original contest!

Such a great song  I LOVE many of your entries, but a lot I knew beforehand (otherwise I Like That would have been on here for sure!), Forget Your Name was next closest to appearing, in my top 25 discoveries!

Yes, that can be arranged!

Forget Your Name   So much ridiculously better than her winner.

Inescapable was indeed incredibly inferior to Forget Your Name, it would never win BJSC now, how times have changed :drama:

Nádine becomes FSR Rontvia's first South African entrant!

Having conquered the Rontvian charts recently with TWO number one albums in the past couple of months, Christmas In South Africa and Eindeloos, and the Christmas No.1 single with I Will Be Strong, Nádine will be representing the nation in the 51st edition of the contest, to be held in Numayania. Having appeared in BJSC in 2009 for Kathaldazia, Nádine has some previous experience of the contest and said: 'it was an amazing experience and I'm so happy to get a second chance. FSR Rontvia rarely recycle artists so they must have seen something special in me to pick me'.

Head of the RTVN, Ricardo Delta said '2012 wasn't FSR Rontvia's finest year, although that said we came mere points from being second in the end of year rankings. But ultimately we finished fourth and we're hoping for a top three finish in 2013. To do that we're going to go right back to basics and just send the nation's biggest hits, as we always have done. I Will Be Strong was the Christmas number one in FSR Rontvia and has hung around in the top ten ever since, back up to #5 on the most recently published chart. It was a minor hit in 2009 in its original ballad form but the dance remix has breathed new life into it, and it's one of the biggest Rontvian hits of recent times. Nádine is a real star here and has said that it's an honour to represent the nation. We know that the contest has evolved and there's little room for huge pop/dance songs these days but we're not one to chase trends and we have faith that other nations will find something to enjoy in I Will Be Strong.'

Nádine flops!

I Will Be Strong by Nádine finished 24th in the final of BJSCLI last night in Numayania, another flop for FSR Rontvia, who have well and truly gone off the rails in the past year. Ricardo Delta said 'it's a shame that Nádine didn't find much favour with the voters, we felt that it was a highly melodic and memorable pop song fronted by a brilliant singer. Granted it was a little dated production-wise but we still love it here in FSR Rontvia. Onwards and upwards for the next contest but we don't hold out any great hopes of a decent result, the Rontvian tastes just aren't particularly in line with the current trends in the contest. It could have been a lot worse, we're extremely happy that Nádine managed to qualify for the final at all, albeit only by 1 point and by rights that should have seen her finish 30th or 31st in the final so to avoid the bottom five which we saw far too many times during 2012 was a bonus. We didn't think much of the top three to be honest but our 12 and 8 pointers, Alive and Cameron, both finished extremely well so we can't grumble too much!'

It actually outperformed my expectations, I was certain it would be bottom five! Thanks for the 10

It was slaying in my rankings until Cameron. I couldn't give that anything less than 12! During the second Scandi era it would have sailed into the top10 with ease :(

I literally have no idea what I'm sending next month, staying true to Ashton but attempting to make the final at the same time.

Fall In Love with Verona for LII

FSR Rontvia have enlisted the talents of dance act Verona for LII, yet another nationality to add to the mix that we haven't used before! The odds have been positive for dance anthem Fallin' In Love so far and the Rontvian public are hopeful that it can go top 20 at least! Ricardo Delta said 'FSR Rontvia have fallen back in love with dance music in a big way over the past 18 months or so and this will obviously be reflected in our entries. Fallin' In Love is a fantastic dance track with a killer post chorus riff which we hope will win over The Buzzjack World! It's three minutes exactly but don't be fooled, it's no Eurovision reject!' The song debuted at No.7 in FSR Rontvia last week and climbed to No.5 this week. Listen below;

Turns out they're from the Czech Republic, oops! Still new territory! That much anticipated Slovakian rock entry is surely only months away :o

HA! Coincidentally I have a nil points for FSR Rontvia scheduled in for that very same month! :o

Joining Andreas Johnson and Lykke Li in the hall of shame! :drama:
If we give points to 'Falling in Love', which lets be honest is very likely as it's brilliant, this will be the 50th set of points given to FSR Rontvia from Ashton :o

Glad you approve  48 if you take out the two you didn't like and the two DNQ's, unless you're counting semi points too! Rontvia appreciate your ongoing support :D
