But seriously this finale is $h!t regardless of whether or not I was in it. :/ BJSC has had iffy stuff in the finals before but this one is so incredibly disappointing and lacks any real quality tbh. I don't want any song in the final to win really. Maybe Sound of Arrows? The Utopia track is nice.

 

Pogo got my 12 points. Amazing artist, though I prefer his song 'Alice' which is comprised of entirely sounds from the movie Alice in Wonderland.

 

But yerr. Could care less now. :o Winning loses its charm after you've done it for like the 6th time. I think I may just go to sending purely bizarre tracks that will DNQ. ;o Die Slow by HEALTH would make a lolarious entry in that it would confuse the hell out of everyone. BJSC is for fun anyhoo. ;o I love I Will Be Here and I'm glad I introduced people to it.

I agree this contest has been far too pop orientated... it seems people are trying to replicate songs which have previously done well only with terrible consequences.

I love Ellie. :o Would have easily scored points from me. I considered Wish I Stayed wayyy back when and considered Starry Eyed for this contest. She's going to be huge next year and tis a shame because had you waited a month or two you probably would have qualified with the hype. She's signed to Polydor and will likely feature highly on the BBC Sound of 2010 list. She's not cool enough to do well yet.

 

Probably like 7 or 8 points from me.

I can't remember my whole voting, but all I know is Kylienips got my 12 points. Amazing song.

 

Shame for Xanaga. Really flopping these days. I'll try and come back in the 21st contest with a brilliant song but I'm not sure if I can be bothered anymore.

I too was considering Starry Eyed but went for B&G as I didn't think it was quite as well known (well her version at least). I'm sure we'll see her beign enterred in the future - once she gets a couple more metions on popjustice et other massively influential blogs on BJSC

 

 

She will and will probably win / do incredibly well. Tis unfortunate that songs do better or worse depending on when you send them, but that's the nature of music I suppose. Silly Boy did so well not because of the quality of the song but because it was sent at exactly the right time. A month earlier or a month later, it probably wouldn't have won (though still done incredibly well - don't get me wrong).
