Ballads are always risky though, I've flopped everytime I've sent one. Another thing is being in the right Semi, I don't think i would've qualified this month on Semi 1, sometimes luck plays a big factor.

I don't think you really have to sacrifice your tastes to get a good result - I mean, you tend to like at least something in every top ten, don't you? :lol:

Can you not see i'm kidding by the ":magic:"???? :mellow: No, actually i wouldn't know having finished in the top10 3 times in the past 15 contests and DNQing for 5 of those 15 i wouldn't know what it's like to host a real contest. I've hosted TBO twice, first time was difficult, the second time was a breeze. But the participation rates are lower and it's far less hassle to host.

Its like the competition has switched over to the Indie side of things for the past 2 contests, but there is room to revert back, plus you have to take into consideration, some countries have pulled out due to personal commitments, come summer it probably revert back, you just have to experiment with other genres, and try something different. I've been using females for a long time, Yes Giantess (a male band) since BJSC21 when I used The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart (a male Band).

Yes, the lack of success is getting a little frustrating. Hell the lack of final qualification is getting really frustrating.
