BJSC Bloggers within Ashton expect Semi Final 3 to be a blood bath and the most hotly contested. Gabrielle Aplin, Samantha Jade and Jasmine Rae are the current favourites with leading Ashton Bookmakers AshBet.

I hope I'm still allowed to vote though :heehee: don't want to get blamed for anyone's DNQ's, I'm only giving my opinion after all :drama:

Melodi Grand Prix Áskorza XXVI

 

Welcome to the Ashtonise National Final for XXVI. It has been noted that we've fallen into a bit of a rut recently. While the ASC feels that the originality and quality of it's entries has dramatically increased over the past 14months, we've only managed 2 top10's and have now had 4 successive DNQ's. To help us get out of this rut, Ashton has overhauled it's selection process and hopes that feedback from a greater number of countries will help Ashton select better entries in the future. Ashton has fallen behind in the contest as the contests main sound switched from the Electropop/Purepop sound of the country.

 

It'd be very much appreciated if you could give a quick listen to the songs bellow and score them as follows: Favourite - 5, 2nd Fave - 3, 3rd Fave - 1, 4th Fave - 0. Any and all votes are of great value to us, so if you can't be bothered listening to all 16 tracks, voting in just one Semi Final would be a great help. The Bookie's favourites [AshBet] are in SF2 and SF3.

I'll start with Semi 4 as I know all of the songs already;

 

What If You Knew - 5 - really great song, my favourite Cilmi choice of yours

Love Me Cos You Want To - 3 - good but not as good as the above

It's Not You - 1 - still a decent song but I'm bored of it now

It Ain't Easy - 0 - one of my least favourites from Sweet 7

Semi 2 is ridiculously hard - and I love Escala!

 

In The Sun - 5 - strikes me as your best chance to do well in the current BJSC climate, great song - very different to the usual Ashton sound

Invisible Girl - 3 - love love love this, what a chorus!

The Liar and the Lighter - 1 - very very nice, but an inevitable flop thanks to its tempo

Kashmir - 0 - great, even despite the 0, but would get a 3 in another semi

Semi 3;

 

Look It Up - 5 - really like this but it's probably a DNQ and would have been a 1 pointer in semi 2

Robots - 3 - still growing on me but there are other Cilmi songs I prefer

Secret - 1 - nothing special for me

Accessory - 0 - hate this :lol:

I agree that In The Sun is probably my best chance of doing well again. Helps that it's sensational and sung by Zooey Deschanel :wub: Any Bones links are good enough for Ashton :heart: It's entirely different, but after my recent run of flops suggests perhaps it's time for something different.

 

SF2 is a real blood bath :drama: 4 10/10's for me.

 

I'm loving Look It Up right now :wub: Country is a bit of an unknown in BJSC tho. Robot has grown so much that i think it could be my favourite from the album :o
