Posted September 10, 200915 yr For me I would have loved if Visionary Dream had represented Ireland....except swap the georgian vibe with a celtic one. :heart: Other ones include Shady Lady and This is my life. But of course these songs wouldn't be considered "irish" but tbh I couldn't give a hoot about cultural sound as long it's great :P Sometimes I feel the songs representing Ireland are years and years behind what Ireland is actually about as a country :P Et-Cetera is a great song but It kinda sounds like an 80's song tbh. September 10, 200915 yr No :P I love Eurovision but I think in general there are few songs original enough to make a proud entry into the BJSC. Obv. Fairytale was extremely good this year and maybe that would be the closest any Eurovision song has come so far...
September 10, 200915 yr Serebro - Song #1, quite definitely. The best song Kopecka could never send ;_;
September 10, 200915 yr Author Woops sorry I meant to post this in the eurovision forum, can someone move it? I meant like the country you actually live in, but I made a booboo and posted it here instead Edited September 10, 200915 yr by Sabrewulf238
September 10, 200915 yr ha, this would be a great topic for both forums Fairytale should have represented Ireland! as for BJSC, Hold On Be Strong would have been THE perfect Rontvian entry :heart:
September 10, 200915 yr Serebro - Song #1, quite definitely. The best song Kopecka could never send ;_; I knew you'd say that! what about Invincible :wub: or is that more of a Herzebanian entry?
September 10, 200915 yr Author I know when I heard Fairytale I thought it would be something Ireland would send if we actually got our act together :o
September 10, 200915 yr Vanilla Ninja - Cool Vibes for Espen methinks basing this on the 'sound' expected from a country :heehee:
September 10, 200915 yr As Nonsuch does not really have a sound, and is all over the shop musically ......... Looking at the (lack of) variety in BJSC XX, I think this would have stood out more as a Nonsuch entry in this contest and got a better result. g32iOPMyPWM Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart Old TOG Terry Wogan knew what he was doing when he wrongly read out Cyndi's name as winer. Curse John Barrowman to eternity, etc. Quite possibly the nearest my friends thought I was going nuts this decade, was when I got upset about this song failing to be our representative at ESC 2007, when we sent the $h!t that was Scooch instead.
September 10, 200915 yr Woops sorry I meant to post this in the eurovision forum, can someone move it? I meant like the country you actually live in, but I made a booboo and posted it here instead well done you disaster.... :P:P Pokusaj - Laka would be my favourite Palmyra entry
September 10, 200915 yr Oops, I moved this, but now people are talking about BJSC. And, no, I have no desire for any Eurovision songs to represent me in BJSC and I don't know of any that would suit the UK. Obviously there are entries I enjoy more than ours every year, but that doesn't make them UK entries.
September 11, 200915 yr I think it still belongs to BJSC forum :heehee: Everyway That I Can or They Can't Stop The Spring for Elёdan/Russia please tho <3
September 11, 200915 yr Vanilla Ninja - Cool Vibes for Espen methinks basing this on the 'sound' expected from a country :heehee: So it is true then, that (almost?) every country in here has it's own "sound"..? I have seen a pattern at a few of us, but haven't been around here since it started.. Do wonder a bit on which eurovision song would mostly be classified as a Greenfroze entry.
September 11, 200915 yr I assosciate Espen with a slightly rocky, female European sound with the occasional Celtic influence some countries send a variety but still have a sound that is more prominently used (i.e. R&B-pop from Ojnoj, MKL, USJ etc..., Scandi-pop from Angelicland, Land Of Jack, Numayania)
