I have no idea how he did it BUT I WISH I COULD DO IT LOL

I've read a theory online, which I think is probably right. It involves freezing the half of the screen which had the balls and someone writing on the balls as they were read out, then unfreezing the screen again.

Why would that require a one hour explaination though.

will the whole show be the explanation though? or will there be other stuff on the show.

When I saw the adverts for this I was really excited, but after I found out what he was going to do I was disappointed really! =[

Supposedly it's meant to be the best thing he's done (in terms of 'OMG HOW DID HE DO THAT?!') but it doesn't seem that spectacular to me! Yes, obviously I couldn't predict the lottery numbers, but I think the idea is just a bit tame for Derren. I expected more.

In the end I missed the show too (:heehee:) by mistake, but I don't really mind in all honesty!

I think there are more 'events' to come Cremey so there might be better still!

I watched last night with my mouth wide open even though I knew there was trickery involved.

Very much looking forward to seeing tomorrow night's explanation!

Mark my words. He won't tell you really how he did it tonight. He'll give you some convoluted maths probability explanation but won't reveal how he really tricked us all.
If it was a trick he never predicted the lottery numbers so its aload of BULL$h!t!
anyone watch it? how did he predict the lottery? was it the half the screen frozen bollocks?

He said he got 24 people to each predict their numbers then added them together and divided by 24. Crap. Load of tosh. Was TV trickery still!

surley a prediction is only a prediction if it is revelled before the event.

otherwise it is like saying you knew all the scores of a the football league games before the matches were played, but you just chose not to tell anyone, or do anything with this prediction.

I would go for the half frozen frame thing. it is really the only thing that makes sence.

Yeah...didn't buy his explanation at all. Auto writing? Some theory about masses of people? Yeah right. It's gotta be the split screen thing.

If one thing comes of this, it'll be boosting the sales of lottery tickets for a few weeks.

They say a magician NEVER reveals his tricks so...

Although I'm not yet ruling out the fix scenario either. I did love that whole "I would never do this, but if I did I would have to have done that, which I didn't..." routine.

You've got to admire Derren Brown - he's got more wow factor and charisma than that David Blaine anyway.

The week where he is supposedly going to hypnotise all of his viewers has got to be the make it or break it though? I'm looking forward to it.

That's true. The whole "how I fixed it" confession-that-wasn't at the end was a bit OJ Simpson, but I honestly thinks he has more integrity, and since The National Lottery company would have had to be involved to allow him to do the show at all, I can't see him abusing their trust in that way...

By the way, anyone notice the weird homophobic comment he made towards the start of the show? Considering he's gay himself...

He is?! :o And no, I didn't, what did he say?

Personally I believe the split screen freezing theory. There's no way that stuff with the 24 people could be real and I don't believe that he fixed it.

As the day is long  His boyfriend has even been in the audience for a couple of his shows (didn't spot him tonight). It was mild, "the bonus ball is mostly for women and gays". Weird thing to say, but I guess he says many weird things :kink:

As for me, call me naive, but I really believe it was the 24 people - the wisdom of crowds. Unless they were all actors...
