Yes it is! You should know, as a Girls Aloud fan! :P It was played heavily during Cheryl's section of the 10-year documentary :P

Girls Aloud fan, not Cheryl fan. :kink: I've only listened to her album once, couldn't remember the track! :(

I didn't follow the iTunes chart TOO closely last week, however I did notice that Something New had slipped to either #61 or #62, at one point. Otherwise it was in the 50s area. So I was actually quite surprised on Sunday when it was revealed that it was at #45 on the charts.

It's certainly doing better on the iTunes chart this week by comparison, so fingers crossed for a climb! I'd really love their TOTP performance to give it a good boost too. I absolutely love the song, and I am quite baffled by how it's done so far. It almost seems like a miracle that it got to #2 in the first place!

Oh it would be SUCH a farewell tribute if Whole Lotta History re-entered the chart.

Never gonna happen.

If only! :( It deserved far more sales than it achieved.
On The Metro needs to be mass downloaded and get #1 (if only)

It was treding on Twitter tonight after the show was broadcasted on VIVA. Fans started a "Download On The Metro at Midnight" campaign. I expect it to climb into the Top200 at the very least.

'On The Metro' is currently #379 on iTunes.

Meanwhile 'Something New' is #257 and #796.

I hope on the metro keeps climbing, or it to become a surprise big hit and make them reform again.

BUMP:

1075. Sound of The Underground

I can't believe The Promise never went Platinum.
Well tbh, if there was any justice in the world, all of their singles would be platinum :kink: except maybe See the Day x

True. Girls Aloud songs are songs that will sell slowly continuously of time because so many of them are iconic.

If they had the same chart runs they had back then with sales from this decade, CTS, Love Machine and SKO would probably be Gold, The Promise would be Platinum. The Show, Biology and SNNN would be silver - It's a travesty that these 3 pop classics were never certified at all.

I'd say 'Call The Shots' could possibly be Platinum or at least pushing towards it. I think 'Can't Speak French' would probably be Gold too.
