^ The vinyl formats mustn't have sold all that much for it to not make the Top 100 physical chart đź’” Although I see the download managed #68!
  2. Still a bit early for that, the teaser post for Spiceworld 25 happened on 12th July, then we were made to wait until 27th September for the pre-order to go live (lol)

    Defrosting in June
  4. Queen of sales! I won’t be holding my breath for it to do any better than this in the UK though. 🥹 As much as I wish it could become a proper hit!
  5. Track 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12: Sabrina Carpenter, Jack Antonoff & Amy Allen Track 2, 7, 10: Sabrina Carpenter, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta & Amy Allen Track 3, 5: Sabrina Carpenter, John Ryan, Ian Kirkpatrick & Amy Allen
  6. I’m pleasantly surprised that she’s moving on to a new era so quickly! Sound-wise, I have faith that the album will showcase some progression as well as familiarity. I know Manchild as a first taste isn’t moving the dial, but maybe she’s easing us in with a surefire/tried and tested sound. Or maybe the album will end up being Short n Sweet Part 2
  7. I think she still sounds recognisably like herself in the song (the Mariah-isms are distinctive!). At least, following on from how her vocals sounded like on the remixes of yes, and / Made for Me / Big Energy, her most recent recordings. Plus this: I think it’s just how her vocals sound now, at 56. Voices certainly change with age and her last “proper” music is from 7 years ago! I think the most notable difference is that she isn’t overusing melisma on this track. She’s taken a more straight forward approach. I’d argue she’s less processed sounding on Type Dangerous than on a lot of Caution tracks tbh (that’s no shade to Caution).

I love the video, it’s so fun! Looks like it would have been expensive too - that’s a lot of different set ups. Easily one of the best I’ve seen this year. For me this is a case of the music video helping to elevate the song. I found Manchild to be cute on first listen, but I’m properly into it now. I hope it holds on to #1! I’m also not yearning for her to move on from this sound yet. It’s not even been a full year since Short n Sweet… so I’m happy for her to continue playing around with this sound/vibe.
  9. The lyrics are so amusing... it's so Mariah! In other news, Mariah is now signed to gamma. - it's the first time in her career that she's not signed to a major label! The description in the 'Sweet' music video reveals that "the debut mini album will be released on 27th June 2025"! I'm guessing that's another way of saying EP, I'll change the tag if that proves to be the case. The title and the number of songs isn't known yet. I'm excited to hear more songs from them! It's released the day before their appearance at SM Town Live in London, so that should mean a longer set. Fingers crossed that there'll be a physical release (for mine and @JosephBoone's collections x)

Wasn't sure whether to use this topic or make a new one for 'Wicked: For Good', but decided to post in here. Trailer!
