Posted September 29, 200816 yr http://i34.tinypic.com/24etc3b.png Chart Commentary: Week 131 MGMT manage a 5th week at the top, but they are under increasing pressure from some incredibly quality new entries. The highest-entered of which is The Killers, who return with what can only be described as one of the singles of the year. 'Human' is easily one of my favourite Killers singles to date, and looks set to give them their third TOTB number one (following on from Read My Mind and Don't Shoot Me Santa in 2007). The rest of the top 5 aren't too shabby either, and caused me a real headache when trying to order them. In the end I settled for Bloc Party remaining at no.2 with the excellent 'Talons', Last Shadow Puppets slipping a place to 4 (and it must be said now looking incredibly unlikely to get their 2nd no.1), and a new entry from Noah & The Whale at no.5. 'Shape Of My Heart' is another re-release from the chart newcomers, and tbh I think I enjoy this single a lot more than '5 Year's Time'. Whether or not it flops in the UK charts is irrelevant to me as it should give Noah.. their 2nd TOTB top 3 hit. All of the bottom 5 are fallers, the most prominent of which being White Lies 'Death' which slips out of the top 5 for the first time since entering at no.2.
