  1. 'Ain't Nobody' is good but it's never been up there as one of my absolute favourites so there's quite a few other songs I would have liked to see above it. And this may be a bit controversial but I don't rate 'Yesterday' anywhere near as highly as lots of other Beatles songs, even though it often crops up in lists of best songs ever written and is reportedly the most covered song in history. It's not a bad song at all ofc but I don't think it would even be in my top 30 Beatles songs!
  2. I've always loved that Protocol song and I remember dancing to it in indie clubs in the late 2000s so I knew I just had to enter it for this theme! I had no idea how it would do so I'm just happy to have finished top half thanks to the final set of votes! Congrats on the win @AllStarBySmashMouth and thanks for a great theme @lewistgreen
  3. Oh wow thank you @CowTzy for the 12 points, pushing me up into the top half of the table at the final second!
  4. Our brains are definitely wired the same way when it comes to music!
  5. OMG you're absolutely right, I'm losing the plot! The song I meant to put for them was 'Mother', not 'Closer'! I'll edit my OP. Thanks for noticing my ineptitude
  6. What quiz? And how on EARTH do you remember stuff like that when I can't remember what happened last week, much less what I mentioned in a quiz a few years ago
  7. I already knew of most of the examples posted but one that hasn't been posted yet is 'Mother' by Travis, one is a B-Side from 1997, the other is an album track from 2013.
  8. I'm not around until later this evening but will catch up with the results when I can. No doubt I'll perform poorly with my amazing song!

Yeah 'The Door' and 'Bad Dreams' were both great but I can't say I'm particularly invested in him as an artist. I wouldn't be surprised if his next album doesn't do too well and he's largely forgotten about in 5 years' time.
  10. That's a shame, I'd say 'Bed' is probably my favourite of all her dance collabs, that chorus is so infectious! My favourite of any song by RAYE has to be 'Natalie Don't', but I wasn't expecting to see that anywhere near the top 20.

  12. Wow I had no idea that Gregg had started writing MOTD as early as 1994 or that it was nearly recorded by The New Radicals! Excellent winner, very well deserved, what an absolute classic it is! Thanks for running this @Nina West.
  13. Once again the voting is varying wildly and I can't call who's going to be in trouble! Maybe Bowie?
  14. Final day to vote, any last minute votes?

Some articles are suggesting "serious sexual offences" against a teenager when Mills was 23/24, I really hope that's not true
