'Confessions On A Dancefloor' • album discussion • continuous mix vinyl release
Is the Pink double? It’s so pricey now but am sure it used to be on sale for less than £20 pre lockdown. I don’t like this silver press. Why do they insist on it? Is it heavyweight?

Yes though I’ll have to watch it again to bring back the memories.

'The Confessions Tour' • album discussion • RSD vinyl release
Interesting news. I was right by the end of the catwalk at one of the London shows. Happy days. 20 years ago it’s crazy. She looked awesome and seeing her reaction up close when she’s revealed as the glitter ball opens was epic!

XMAS ● Amazon Music Original
Weird that during the frantic Christmas chart week they seemed to run out of Xmas gold vinyl and were giving weird shipping dates. Now it seems they’ve plenty of stock that needs reducing…or maybe not they just want to clear what they kept back for replacements etc. Expect plenty of Zoetrope is left over though. If I hadn’t already purchased both I’d buy them at these prices.

Ranking Kylie's #2s
GMJALMT was used in an Accurist watch advert. I don’t think it was the reason the single did better though. Might have helped. I think it was more that the song was released in January, it’s very catchy unlike Word is Out, she promoted it quite hard and the video stood out. Being a chart watcher it was exciting when she went in at 5 after a period of declining chart positions and then climbed to 2. The pop mags were very complimentary too. Funny, being so young myself it seemed that she’d been around forever in 1992 and the general media consensus was it was ‘amazing’ she was able to do so well 4 years after Lucky and was already moving into chart legend territory.

Lily Allen - West End Girl
Good news she’s leading just a shame the streaming has declined from its peak weeks. Though as has been said I don’t think it’s something Lily desires.

XMAS ● Amazon Music Original
Both worth it especially the zoetrope.

Tension II ● album discussion
The clear was £21, yellow £23. Don’t think they produced as many as they did for Tension. There were a few Disco and Tension black vinyl on sale for £15.

Lily Allen - West End Girl
Does anyone know what vinyl there is…black, clear and polka…polka sold out. Can’t see any others?

Tension II ● album discussion
Bought Yellow Vinyl in HMV earlier…not sure why but it’s quite collectible I suppose. Already have it in turquoise. Apart from the clear was there another one?

Lily Allen - West End Girl
Just bought the clear vinyl in HMV….deserves a physical purchase!

Victoria Beckham • General Discussion
This is funny, 100k Spotify streams in a day for a song on lifetime streams of 3 million is pretty massive!

What Do I Have to Do ● 35 years on
Still remember the world premiere on ITV’s The Chart Show. Top track loved this era.

Victoria Beckham • General Discussion
I’ve always had a soft spot for NSAIG…I have it on CD single! Victoria has a nice tone. Out of Your Mind is a good 2000 throwback and actually did very well commercially and could easily have been number 1…but the super cool Spiller/ Sophie collab was more successful. She was much derided for her music exploits but NSAIG was totally eclipsed by Kylie. Nothing she could have done to reach number 1. She did try again and came closer with the double A side This Groove/ Let Your Head Go in January of whatever year (2003?). Sales back then in January were much lower and the goodwill was more positive in the general press. Can’t remember what was ahead of her that week/ weeks. On Good Morning Britain they keep flipping between saying she’s iTunes number 1 and just ‘number 1’….they’ve no idea it’s nowhere near the main chart…though if it goes streaming viral maybe it’ll have a main chart renaissance!

Ranking Kylie's #2s
Full rank and I should have voted Kids as least fave, not Locomotion 🙄 Confide in Me Better the Devil I Believe in You Je Ne Sais Pas Porquoi Love at First Sight Wouldn’t Change a Thing On a Night Like This Got to be Certain Give me Just a Little More Time (brrrrrr) Locomotion Kids All of these could have been number one singles during their time on the charts. Some just missed out.
