I'm shocked I thought Taylor would have smashed 1.2/1.4M easy! I'm curious how well it'll hold up I can't see it staying around long (But potentially 3 weeks at number 1 if they stagger the physicals)

I really think it'll stay pretty high up given it went to number 1 (and Kylie being a bigger name)

I don't think the new label got it right with this release at all. They needed to release a second single and have a much longer time between debut single and album release. Miley doesn't have the power for good pre-sales right off the bat. If they were intent on throwing out £4.99 versions they should of just had a whole batch of signed CD sized art cards with the 3 CD bundle, rather than cheapening her to £4.99 downloads. I'm sure if the label had planned it better she would have easily had another top 3 album instead limping in at 13 it looks terrible chart wise.

Don't worry Amazon will have this pretty high on Christmas playlists so it'll definitely go top 40 this year potentially top 20 if Amazon have it in prominent positions.

There's wars happening all over the world where innocent people are being killed / tortured in the most horrific of ways it's not just Palestinians. There's unfortunately many women even in the west being brutally abused / murdered by partners. My original post was not specifically about Palestinians it was based on ALL political topics / causes unrelated from the smaller views to the monumental. So an artist feels passionately about domestic violence and spends 10 minutes talking on that subject (an important subject) however, what if there's women/men in the audience going through something similar and have gone to a concert as a form of an escape or to have a good time should they be subjected to a 10 minute talk reminding them of what they're going through? My point still stands regardless of the topic it's my opinion that concerts aren't the place, like I said I think it's very important artists like Macklemore speak out and I think it's great that he's actively using the publicity for good and raising more awareness through shows that represent and are dedicated to the cause..
