It's happening. They confirmed it earlier today.

It's set for an August 30th 2013 release and will be directed by Morgan Spurlock with Simon Cowell helping to produce.

Do they really need to wait so long to release a concert/autobiographical film? Talk about failing to cash-in!
The problem with the movie concept is... it's not really helped the likes of The Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry & JB who all released ones, and the movies badly underperformed.

How did Justin's underperform? It was a SMASH if I remember correctly...

Anyway, I'm really excited for this, naturally. :P

Didn't JLS release one of these? Look where they are now. :kink:

That was only out for like one day in the cinema, IIRC.

Was the JLS one a documentary style like the rest or just a 3D concert? I think they left it too late on and it didn't have as much buzz/wasn't worldwide.

In the US maybe, but in the UK I think it only got to about #9 at the box office (same for the Glee one). I remember being one of only four people in a massive screen when I went to see it.

I hope someone will go see this with me

I went to see this today an unashamedly LOVED it. It made me like them all as people individually and really showed that despite the whirlwind success, they have stayed grounded for the most part. It was quite sad seeing their families talking about rarely seeing them and you could tell that they just genuinely appreciate and did not expect the success that they have achieved. Plus lots of topless scenes which I did not complain about. I've not seen any other artists' concert films but this was really quite impressive and very well-edited I thought!

Fantastic summation Theo, I'll just agree to all of that. They all came across so well and funny, I probably enjoyed Liam the most, he was so smiley throughout.

No release date yet, but I'll definitely be getting this for Christmas (presuming it'll be out before Christmas - they'll make heaps from sales in that period). Didn't actually go to the cinema in the end to see this, but yeah, looking forward to seeing it (Zayn in particular :kink:).

OK, so I watched this tonight and it was absolutely fantastic. There was a lot more of the concert than I imagined there would be, and it was fantastic! Great to see it in Blu-Ray, and the visual effects that were added in for the film were great, I imagine they would have been great to see in 3D at the cinema! Zayn looked amazing as well, and he was fantastic. I actually didn't imagine him to have so many solos, and it made me realise how Zayn-heavy 'Take Me Home' is. :o

Both Zayn and Harry were fantastic in the film, loved seeing different sides to them, especially Harry. Zayn was as fantastic as I imagined he would be and it only made me love him more than I already do. Such a genuine, down to earth lad. The scene where he phoned his mum and they had just arrived at the house he had bought them nearly reduced me to tears. So lovely. And Harry just seems like someone who's grounded but has a lot of fun and would be great to be around! Couldn't keep my eyes off the pair of them throughout the whole film. :kink:

The fans' dedication was a great thing to see in the film too, so overall I'd probably give this a 10 (loon-glasses ON :kink:).

Got this for Xmas so will be watching it in due course. Excite.
^ THAT. Would've gone to see it in the cinema but didn't have anyone to go with. :( Didn't get a chance to watch last night so I'm watching it tonight instead.

I really wish I had gone to it! The whole vibe seemed fantastic and I can imagine now they're going to put on an even better show this year
