Wars are a red line through our history. The Kingdom of Yehesi Yehesi was first inhabited by Dutch speaking citizens, who lived off the fruitations of farmership and hunting, as well as a market of trades. The 300.000 citizens were settled in nothern Yehesi, occupying the whole coastline and more south for a few hundred miles. The country was ruled by a king, Sir Timothy, who lead the country to peace and happiness. The main city was Port St. Niad, with 150.000 inhabitants. The English Era Until the English arrived in 1320. The Yehesians had never experienced war before and although they had an army, they never actually fought. Sir Timothy had not prepared his people for such a battle against the powerful English. The First War was a quick one. The people of Yehesi were imprisoned within 3 weeks. The port was taken within 2 hours, with the city of St. Niad following within the next day. The next week saw heavy fights surrounding the cities, but the Yehesians surrendered. A few men fled into the mountains southeast of St. Niad, from which they fought back for 2 more weeks. In the end they also surrendered once they saw the immense fleets arriving in the port. The Yehesian citizens were enslaved by the English and used to exploit the newly robbed lands. The English advanced further into the lands, which were never touched before due to the extreme wilderness. They managed to occupy the whole country, except for the area which is now named the Fremminik Province, which was taken by the French (southeastern part) and the Spanish (northwestern part). The First Civil War The English ruled over the Yehesians for centuries, occasionally fighting the French and Spanish as they tried to enter their lands. It wasn't until 350 years after the First War the Yehesians had the courage to stand up for themselves. Aided by the French and the Spanish in what would be named the First Yehesian Civil War, the Yehesians broke free from their English masters and occupied the western part of Yehesi, west of the river Leyr, including the western part of Korad Upon Leyr. However the Dutch weren't happy with this and, despite speaking English themselves, attacked the English and reclaimed their robbed lands with the Treaty of Korad Upon Leyr. They had attacked the English via the French lands and took Enthen within weeks, before moving on to Veras, Sumboline and Kora. The English lost plenty of people and the Dutch advance seemed unstoppable. They had taken Veras, destroyed Sumboline and were on the verge of taking Korad Upon Leyr. However The English sent more troops and chased the Dutch out of Korad Upon Leyr completely, as well as the lands northwest of it, which ar now named Golasha. This was a strategic win from the English as they could now easily and quickly send reinforcements to Korad Upon Leyr via the river, without risking to be attacked. The Battle for Korad Upon Leyr As the battle stalled for months, the Dutch, French and Spanish signed a treaty, in which they promised to collaborate and share the lands claimed to found the Kingdom of New Yehesi. The trinity fought against the English and reclaimed the the City of Manz and it's surrounding lands, Golasha, giving them an advantage. They could now prevent reinforcement by the English, leaving the city to die. However the English rulers offered a peace treaty to them, in which they promised to resign from ruling the country, thus giving the lands back, if they were allowed to flee the country and bring the English people with them. The Treaty of Korad Upon Leyr was signed and few English left the country. The Kingdom of New Yehesi A new royal family was assigned. The General of the Royal DutchFrenchSpanish forces, Alexander Johansson, was given the throne. But Yehesi was a defeated country. Many cities and resources were destroyed. Under the leadership of Johansson the country was rebuild. Refugees that had fled their homes went back to them, important buildings were rebuild and the country started flourishing again. Yehesi became a force on the waters of Twikandia, cities grew in numbers and the money kept flooding in. During this "Golden Age" (1671-1898) English became the most prominent language and was spoken by everyone. Dutch, Spanish and French died out, besides a few influences in dialects. Yehesi versus Avalonia In 1754, Avalonian forces were spotted in Yehesi. Yehesi was under attack and a quick reaction was needed. Avalonia invaded Yehesi via the lands of South Dormin, near the border with Altyr Muunilinst. They came quickly and were within reach of Enthen in several hours. Enthen wasn't as big as it is today and neither was it the capital and it was located about a mile from the border. The Yehesian forces were sent to Enthen from Korad Upon Leyr to defend the city and arrived there a day after the Avalonia forces did. Enthen held on strong and the courage of its guards was to be admired, but the city walls were severely damaged and were about to break. The forces clashed and a long battle followed. Enthen was lost after Avalonia sent another group of reinforcements and took Enthen. The citizens and soldiers fled the city and settled in Veras and Marson, ready to defend those cities against the advancing Avalonians. Yehesi sent more troops and succesfully defended Veras and Marson but couldn't re-take Enthen. It wasn't until the nations of Ethanola and Altyr Muunilinst came to help, that Yehesi could retake their lands and a bit more. As a punishment for killing thousands and attacking aggresively, Avalonia had to give a batch of their land to Yehesi, as well as a payment to cover most of the costs in rebuilding Enthen. Hilda's reign & Big Depression Since 2000 the country was lead by a woman of German origin, Queen Hilda. She was mostly known to the outside world as Die Salsaschlägterin. She claims to have brought peace and wealth to the country. For a long time she had, with her strong regime she held the people under control and brought everyone a fair share of the money in the country. However the great years didn't last long as in 2009 the economy came crashing down and expenses started to outweigh income with a very big margin. This "Big Depression", as it was called by the economical experts, started by banks investing too much money and failing to make a profit on them. Quickly the people of Yehesi lost faith in banks and began to withdraw their money, as well as refusing to spend their money, which led to companies firing their workers and even bankruptcy in some cases. The 4 of the 5 biggest banks in Yehesi were saved by the government, as well as 2 smaller ones, but one of the bigger banks applied for help too late and went bankrupt. The downward spiral for the country that followed dragged on for 4 years and led to a debt of 120% of the National Income. Protests erupted during the dperession, sstarting all the way back into 2011 and didn't stop until Hilda was deposed. During these protests Hilda used big weapons and violence against the Yehesian, which lead to the death of several 10.000's of people. With the help of other countries, the protestors managed to set up an army and fight against Hilda. They won the battle for Yehesi and imprisoned Hilda, who was sentenced to death for her crimes against Yehesi and humanity. Cecelia Burke-era With the deposion of Hilda, Yehesi officially chose to become a republic in a referendum. In october 2013 Yehesi chose their new leader, Ms. Cecelia "Alexandra" Burke, previous winner of the Y-Factor, as well as running a succesfull bussiness. She knew how to handle money, which was just what the country needed at the time. She was assisted by Tramar "Flo Rida" Dillard, Shaffer "Ne-Yo" Smith, Armando "Pitbull" Pérez and Laza Morgan. Yehesi's economy began to flourish again, faith in the economy returned and banks paid off their loans to the government. Debts got reduced and Yehesi became a debt-free country. Ms. Cecelia Burke also introduced a new government system, which lead to one general government, in which representatives from the then 5 provinces take place. These representatives are chosen by the governments of the provinces. These governments serve to execute any decission taken by the general government. Each province has their own capital in which their local government is seated. As of 2015 a 6th province has been added in the form of the Island of Elwynn. This previously independent country decided to join the Republic of Yehesi on their own free will. The country had been leaderless for a long time and wasn't able to keep their economy standing on their own. Geography Yehesi houses several big cities. Enthen is known as the Capital of Yehesi and it houses the Big Wheel of Yehesi, the Red Light District, the Green House and the Houses of Parliament, all of which are big touristic attractions. It borders Armer Lake, which makes it pleasant for tourists. It's harbour is small, but sufficient enough. Enthen is 7th most visited city in the world and is #4 on the most desirable cities to visit. It houses Yehesi's biggest airport, Enthen Airport, which is listed as the 6th biggest airport in the world A slightly smaller city called Veras is located in the region of South Dormin and serves as its capital. The lovely little town has had a complete revamp after the Avalonian war ended. it serves as the front during the war and many buildings got destroyed. It is one of the most desirable cities in Yehesi Port St. Niad is known as the capital of Golasha and houses the biggest harbours in the world as well as one of the biggest in the world. It's listed as the 5th biggest harbour in the world and the biggest in West Twikande. It's the 2nd biggest city in Yehesi and serves as the economical core of Yehesi. Via it's harbour wares is transported to Yehesi and the surrounding countries and several big worldwide corporations are settled in Port St. Niad. Korad Upon Leyr is the country's 3rd biggest city. It is located in the centre of the country and is split in 2 by the river Leyr. It is the capital of North Dormin and serves as the 2nd biggest harbour in Yehesi. From here goods that arrive from Port St. Niad are transported further into Yehesi by train or truck. It houses the Korad Airport, which is one of the bussiest airports in West Twikande. Ralkim is the capital of Ramanis and served as the headquarters of the Dutch during the First Civil War. Therefor it houses many ancient buildings dating back to that time. It also houses one of the biggest historical war museums. Darb is located in the Fremminik Province and serves as its capital. It was the headquarters of the Spanish before the First Civil War and many of its buildings are inspired by the Spanish building styles. Chasi is the capital of the Island of Elwynn, a former independent nation. It is located next to the sea and is seen as one of the hotspots of Yehesi when it comes to holidays. It houses some of the biggest clubs and has beautiful long beaches. It is a city that never sleeps. Yehesi is a country of many landscapes. It has mountain ranges in the southwest and flat meadows in the north. The country borders with Avalonia, Alteria, Ethanola, Florina, Harmonica and Altyr Muunilinst. Weatherwise, Yehesi is very varied. It has a sunny and dry climate in the north, as well as a tropical climate in the south. Due to the various winds that enter Yehesi, many storms appear in Yehesi especially around Korad Upon Ley. The woods around Darb are said to be haunted. Music Scene The music industry is a massive driving force behind the Yehesian economy, with artists such as Alexandra Burke, Jason Derülo, Loreen, Samantha Jade, The Saturdays and Kesha selling massive numbers. The biggest selling album is currently held by Loreen with Heal and the biggest selling single is currently Timber by Pitbull and Ke$ha. The official chart is the Tim Hot 40 singles and albums.

March 22, 201312 yr Music The music in Yehesi is mostly female dance pop, with a few exceptions. Artists like Alexandra Burke, Loreen, Sharon Doorson, Eva Simons, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and The Saturdays are amongst the most popular. Usher and Justin Timberlake are two of the few males to have chart success in Yehesi. The official chart is the Tim Hot 40 singles and albums. Skall are sending missionaries for indoctrination purposes. You heathens.

March 22, 201312 yr Author So you're sending someone or SOMETHING that was relevant 30+ years ago? Most likely and at the last minute with an internal selection and nobody agreeing with me :)
March 29, 201312 yr Author From the Yehesian Postman Yehesi to hold a national final The boss of the Yehesian Broadcasting Company has announced plans to hold a national final on Saturday. People will be able to vote from then until the deadline of entries for the BuzzJack Song Contest. A spokesperson from the YBC told us : " Since this is our first time participating in the contest we want to finish high and show the rest of the world what we got. The best way for us to do this is by letting the people vote" Previous plans were to hold an internal selection, judged by some of our most influental citizens. Earlier rumours surfaced of an internal selection being hold on saturday but these rumours were quickly dismissed by this announcement. The artists and their songs who are competing to represent Yehesi are revealed on Saturdays and any reviews would be appreciated.
March 30, 201312 yr Author The National Final This contest 5 artists have announced they want to represent Yehesi in the next BuzzJack Song Contest. Any reviews will be appeciated and could be a factor in our decision. pB5RfOwrmWQ MØ - Glass MØ is a recording artist from Copenhagen, Denmark. Her sound is a mix between Grimes' electro with a Lykke Li Scandi Pop twist. 7VzeXNKkkcc Wallpaper - Staygold ft. Style of Eye & Pow Staygold are 2 swedish producers, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser, who have only had 1 hit in Holland and Belgium. They released their debut album on November 23rd of last year, but it didn't take off. Wallpaper however went to #6 on the Dutch Top 40 but stalled on the Bubbling Under Chart in Belgium. gzFsncmxR7k Chemistry - Eva Simons Eva Simons, mostly known from her feature on Wil.I.Ams This Is Love & some might even know her from her debut single Silly Boy. Eva is supporting Beyoncé on Dutch tour dates and is featured in a Pepsi commercial. This is why she recorded Chemistry. The song immediately went top 40 on Itunes and is the Alarmschijf (weekly track by our biggest radio station). It is currently lingering around #85 but is bound to rise with the airplay effect kicking in. j_n1m6vhu4Y High On Your Love - Sharon Doorson Sharon Doorson entered the BJSC earlier with Fail In Love. Now she's going to try again with High On Your Love. Her second single has already outpeaked Fail In Love in Holland and is currently #18 on Itunes. The Dutch beauty used to be in the same band as Eva Simons, Raffish, but right now they are competition. glvBbx-K-R8 Holes - Passenger Passenger were a band, but after they disbanded Mike Rosenberg continued under the same name. His debut single never took off but Let Her Go is taking off worldwide. After reaching #1 all over Europe it is now taking Australia and could possibly go to the US too. His third single Holes is an uptempo song, different from Let Her Go and hasn't really taken off anywhere.
March 30, 201312 yr mostly known from her feature on Wil.I.Ams This Is Love & some might even know her from her debut single Silly Boy orly? :kink: Hmm, with Let Her Go blowing up places anything Passenger might be a bit risky. That's just my opinion though, independent of the mod team and as it's not Let Her Go... just be wary if you do enter it, as for the song, it's rather good actually. Eva Simons & Sharon Doorson are in the same sort of league, if you want to appeal to pop fans exclusively, and there are a few here, go for one of them. I'm not as much of a fan of either, Fail In Love was better for Sharon and as for Eva I've known her to have better. Wallpaper I was torn over a couple of months ago but I think it could do well and it's very good so I would recommend that as the most inspired song here for my money - and as for Glass it is nice on first listen but MØ has had quite the high profile around here recently.
March 30, 201312 yr Ohh, really interesting selection there Tim. :D How I'd personally rank your contenders: 01. 'Wallpaper' <--- this was one of my contenders last year but I went with SX 'Gold' 02. 'Glass' <--- 'Pilgrim' was entered into the last Unknown Pleasures contest and I can imagine this doing well in BJSC 03. 'High On Your Love' <--- going to rank this 3rd purely because Eva Simons might be deemed a bit too cheap for BJSC after she won with 'Silly Boy' and 'This Is Love' was massive last year 04. 'Chemistry' <--- putting this 4th purely because I think it'd do better than Passenger in BJSC. 05. 'Holes' <--- I doubt this would do much in BJSC hence why it's ranked bottom here. Having just had a listen, I still much prefer 'Let Her Go'.
March 30, 201312 yr 02. 'Glass' <--- 'Pilgrim' was entered into the last Unknown Pleasures contest and I can imagine this doing well in BJSC Not to mention the much, much better 'Maiden' which did criminally poorly for Syndare in BJSC last year.
March 30, 201312 yr No Eva Simons please, twice was more than sufficient for that overrated bint. Silly Boy has a reputation here for being the most overrated winner. It still holds the points record.
March 30, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the replies so far, they've not been really helpfull as all of you say something different :P
April 15, 201312 yr Author Yehesi picks Staygold as their entry! Last night Yehesi confirmed their entry for BuzzJack's Song Contest. Staygold & Style of Eye & Pow are chosen to bring the contest to Yehesi. The public voted for Wallpaper in masses, gaining 67% of the votes, followed by Eva Simons with 21%, Sharon Doorson with 5%, MØ also with 5% and last Passenger with 2%. The Juries also voted Wallpaper #1, followed by Passenger, Eva Simons, Sharon Doorson and then MØ. This lead to Wallpaper winning by a landslide. With the first odds in, Wallpaper is looking for a top 10 placing, but all can change. Yehesi is in Semi final 1 which will be broadcasted live on sunday the 20th of april 8/9PM on YBC1, the second semi final will be broadcasted afterwards on a recap. 7VzeXNKkkcc © Yehesian Postman Edited April 15, 201312 yr by *Tim DC/DU
April 22, 201312 yr Author Staygold helps Yehesi reach the final Last night the Semi-Final results were broadcasted and Yehesi had the honour to be in the first set of reveals. We made it through! A great debut for Yehesia and the final hasn't even started yet! The odds for us are looking quite good, varying from 11/1 to 12/1. Sadly some people are on the hate parade, calling it utter shite and comparing it to Staygold's previous entry Backseat. The Yehesian Broadcasting Company is hoping for a great result, but the competition is though. 8/10 of the public's favourites from Semi Final 1 went through to the next round so it's going to be hard for the public to decide which song they're going to vote for Meanwhile listen to Wallpaper here again and buy it on Itunes 7VzeXNKkkcc © The Yehesian Postman
April 29, 201312 yr Author Staygold flops! Staygold came #20 in last night's final, eventhough it got several top 10 predictions. The Buzzjack's are never to be trusted again. With a last minute rush to 85 points, Yehesi managed to beat 10 other countries. We'd like to thank Caerfyrrdia, Singerpurear, Lake Thermwoods, Skall, Aeroche and Danaelanda for showing such great taste! Also Altry Muunilinst, Batidas, Kylienips, Trifoski, #00274E, Kluminican Republic, Daehun, Mdiče, Juranabaijan and Cadelicia thank you for giving us points, eventhough they were too low :kink: The YBC is now going back to their drawing table to find an entrant for the next contest. We're looking forward to visiting #00274E! © The Yehesian Postman Edited April 29, 201312 yr by *Tim DC/DU
May 4, 201312 yr Author Yehesi are ready to review any songs, if needed Also we'd like anyone who has too much time on his hands to have a look at our 3 potentials. In both cases pop me a PM and I'll get onto it :)
May 13, 201312 yr Author Yehesi enters Galavant For their second contest Yehesi are looking for a second qualifier with Galavant's Tonight. The Swedish group unveiled their song a little while ago and the YBC immediately asked them to enter the contest. There was no doubt and they immediately said yes. So we're proudly introducing you to Galavant's Tonight QCzRkC8rUnw © The Yehesian Postman Edited May 13, 201312 yr by *Tim
