Good evening again from Bignia-Zaragovina! I am Niall Horan and I shall be your host for semi-final 2 of TBO 2013. We are coming to you from the McDonald Arena located in the city of Margulieston!!

Only ten of the twenty eight songs being presented to you tonight can progress so that's a lot of whittling down.

Firstly though, let's have a reminder of the rules:
a) It has to be said - as much as you probably love your own entry, you may not vote for it. :(
b) All votes for SEMI TWO only must be sent to Jáhq!
c) These votes must be a top 10, no more no less, in Eurovision fashion (12,10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1)
d) To vote, you must have been a part of at least one BJSC from LI-LX
e) If you have an entry in this semi and don't vote by the deadline of 23:59 on Saturday 7th December 2013, all your entries in this semi will be subject to a 15 point deduction.

I thought Semi 1 was bad but this one is even WORSE. Despite this semi having 3 songs I REALLY want to vote for (doubt WHICH ones are those is a secret too), I shall not be doing so as I can't make myself choose 3 more songs out of the likes of fucking HORRIBLE Melodies, Bad 4 U, Cold Nights, 1 Katy 1 Cup and jailbait Oscar Zia. (Sorry to put you in the same list with those monstrosities, Lewww :cry: Yours is the least offensive one)

I don't often agree with Pavel but...yeah. I found 8 songs worthy of voting for in this heat, and two fillers. How some of this stuff got this far, my main gripe is with all the super basic cheapy sounding pop, the type that would have crashed out in the semis of a normal contest even in the Scandipop era! I find it so strange that this sits happily amongst all the ambient hipster stuff (most of which I also don't have much time for!).

got a VERY solid top 10 made up, then literally everything else bar like one or two doesn't work for me.

pavel if you don't vote I swear 2 god...

As for Sa Sa Samoa, I was never SUCH a big fan of it. Julianna Barwick already failed in the Rejects, so I kind of don't think she'll make it to the finals here as well anyway. BITCH IS CURSED

ERM you're voting for Team Rockit I don't care what you say. I count 21 good songs (quite a few of them are rly gay shite-pop admittedly oops) so if you'd like me to decide your bottom few votes then that's fine by me!!

Oh this is definitely the worse semi. My 1 pointer in semi 1 would have garnered 6 over here, it's too much of the extremes of both sides and not the nice happy mediums (also most of the basic stuff that made it through is here).

 

I'm not going through to the final obviously, I'd just like to be beaten by as few bad songs as possible please.

The top end of this is stronger than that of the other semi for me but overall the quality is weaker I think. My top 2 though :wub:

I don't really need to hear 'Windowlicker' again what with it being one of my favourite songs of all time eva and I DEFINITELY don't need to hear any of those other abominations again (well apart from 'Little Nikki Says' which I still have a soft spot for)

Don't tar Samantha Jade with the same brush at the others, that song is great.

I had forgotten just how amazing the video to 'Dance Our Tears Away' is. :wub: (Great song as well but if I could give it 12 for the video alone I would).

 

BTW Samantha Jade was actually even worse than I remembered, thankful for it being so forgettable. It is still far from the worst in this semi though.

Nine hours left to vote! I won't be accepting votes after the deadline this time as I'll be making graphics to reveal the qualifiers as soon as the results are known.

 

In my humble opinion I believe I have the stronger semi as well (at the top end at least), I found it very easy to pick out ten tracks and could've included a couple more (not even including my own wonderful entries :P), pretty difficult to order. Semi 1 by comparison I found the bottom end of my top 10 to be slightly filler.

Yeah, sorry Jahq but this is totally the weaker of the two semi's :(

I actually agree with Phil surprisingly. I really love every song in both of my top 10s but there are only 6 others in semi 2 that I'd choose to listen to again, whereas there are only 6/7 that I WOULDN'T choose to listen to again in semi 1.
