Woo for Beyonce :D Hopefully it has a bigger chance of becoming a hit now.

They REALLY need to drop that Kings Of Leon song. And Katy Perry as well!

I agree that 'Drunk in Love' should be supported, although that may be more Radio 1Xtra than Radio 1.

Arctic Monkeys too!

Oh yes! That seems to get played at the start of EVERY SINGLE HOUR.

Doesn't make sense that they'd keep Katy Perry and drop Little Mix. Little Me deserved another week, I think. Oh well..

Glad Sam Smith has been properly playlisted now. Hoping he'll climb to the A-list, Radio 1 love him.

I wasn't expecting a new playlist today, but I think it's just a quick update to freshen things up a bit for this week.

Happy to see Alesso & One Republic make it this week as well as Chris Malinchack. I haven't heard 'I Got You'yet, but will try and YouTube it later. Hopefully it can go Top 40 at the very least. :)

Also well done for moving Katy B & Gorgan City up! :w00t:

Yay for Katy B and Beyonce. The former being set up perfectly for release week.

I'm glad 'XO' is getting the support. Album highlight and easily the most radio friendly too so no surprise.

Unexpected to get a new playlist on a Monday!

Yeah they really need to drop Kings of Leon and Katy Perry now, and probably Eminanna too. Pretty much all the new entries are as expected, although I'm surprised it took them so long to playlist Beyoncé. I think that DJ Fresh song could be pretty big in a low sales climate, it's a bit different isn't it?

Good to see 'If I Lose Myself' getting support. Could potentially be massive considering how big it was in dance circles last year, plus the fact that Alesso and 1R have recently had #1 singles.

Oh I just noticed they've dropped 'Little Me' this week, that's disappointing :(

On a more positive note, this is the first time a Clean Bandit single has been A-listed :)

I think this deserves to be a number 1 but it should be a decent sized hit! Can't believe how it took so long for this to grow on me!

Great to see Katy B climbing, A list next week please I want this to be huge!

Absolute joke that they've kept 'Unconditionally' but removed 'Little Me'. Their support of Little Mix in general this era has been pretty flimsy.
Great update this week! DJ Fresh, Macklemore and Tinie's new singles are all great (especially hoping 'White Walls' can be another hit, it's done okay in the USA but not as well as the first 3 hits which I imagine will be the same here but I hope it can at least go top 20 maybe) and good to see Chris Malinchak getting support again to maybe not be a one hit wonder as well though I've not heard his new one yet. Fab to see Clean Bandit, Vance Joy, Busta Rhymes, Gorgon City, Katy B and Sam Smith moving up as well :D
Yay at the addition of White Walls! Surprised they only added XO, I thought they might do a dual entry with Drunk In Love considering it's top 10 on iTunes. Like they did last year with Lily Allen's Hard Out Here and Somewhere Only We Know.

Just looking back over the playlists from last year, there are 9 songs which spent 10 weeks or more in the playlist:

11 weeks:

Bastille - Pompeii

Robin Thicke feat. Pharrell Williams & T.I. - Blurred Lines

Katy Perry - Roar

10 weeks:

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us

Bastille - Laura Palmer

John Newman - Love Me Again

Avicii - Wake Me Up

Coldplay - Atlas

Lorde - Royals

So nothing coming close to Gotye being playlisted for 14 weeks the year before!

Plenty of artists had 4 different songs playlisted last year, but only three artists (only taking into account lead artist) managed to get 5 songs in the playlist:

Disclosure, Jake Bugg & Justin Timberlake.

Despite pretty much never playing 'Hard Out Here'. :P

Laura Palmer and Atlas are surprising considering they weren't exactly big hits. The others aren't surprising at all, in fact I expected Blurred Lines to be closer to the 14 weeks of Gotye.
